Knowledge economy can be transformed into a creative economy by experimenting with different learning styles, encouraging multidimensional thinking.

Learning is a constant process; the professional workforce today needs to become self-driven, must have the attitude to keep learning, Generative learning is the learning style that enhances the capacity to create”; not only absorb knowledge, but generate new knowledge, design fresh concepts, and come up with creative ideas constantly.

Learning to creatively disrupt: Due to exponential growth of information and abundant knowledge, people need to keep learning agile; not only learn, but also apply critical thinking skills to disrupt the outdated mindsets, processes, cultures, business models, practices or systems, develop creative stills to generate fresh insight. “Disruption” and “stimulation” makes sense, taking into consideration that many individuals or organizations do not seem to be satisfied with the current circumstances because there are not enough innovations happening. A learning organization is the one in which people are encouraged to learn, deepen understanding of varying issues, become creatively disruptive, generate new concepts and share fresh insight.

Generating a shared context for learning and co-creating: Generative learning allows people at all levels to be open to new ideas, co-create fresh knowledge, and experiment with alternative ways of doing things. It's important to make connections between pieces of knowledge, especially cross-disciplinarily. Knowledge workers with intrinsic motivation like to share their knowledge with others, collect feedback, and co-develop great ideas proactively. That, in turn, will further fuel more collaboration in innovative initiatives. Collectively, inspire generative learning, improve knowledge flow, ensure knowledge coherence. integrate information/knowledge/idea management practices to build a high-innovative organization.

Iterating “working, thinking and learning” continuum:
Outdated knowledge or “knowing it all” attitude is the burden to explore the new horizon, stifle change, or turn off the sparkling of your imagination. Knowledge professionals accumulate experience and yet know when to discard that experience, when they come across new knowledge, new frontiers of existing knowledge. They need to continuously seek new challenges, explore the unknown, learn and generate something fresh. Knowledge is important, insight is invaluable, wisdom, coming through the result of life experience or knowledge transcendence, is broader, abstract, and more universal for guiding people’s behaviors, including learning.

Digital learning is interactive, interdisciplinary, generative, informal, inclusive, and integrated. Knowledge economy can be transformed into a creative economy by experimenting with different learning styles, encouraging multidimensional thinking, building creative business models, developing competitive teams, enhancing “learning-sharing-innovating” cycle and building unique professional competencies.
