Innovativeingredients

High performance organizations today are sophisticated for complex problem-solving, adaptive to rapid change, innovative to create unique sets of business value, and flexible to provide alternative solutions.

In face of rapid changes and fierce competitions, many organizations get stuck at the lower level of business maturities. The overly rigid hierarchy and variety of gaps create bottlenecks that prevent information flow, stifle innovation and slow down business speed.

Organizations today need to build dynamic core competencies and develop solid pillars to shape a high mature business. There are many components in an effective innovation ecosystem, each by themselves may not cause a good environment, but collectively, they can build a high-innovative organization.

Agility: Business agility is an important capability for organizations to create certain changes, and also adapt to change seamlessly in the business environment. Either for individuals, teams, departments, and enterprises, being agile means always having the plan to get better; building a culture of continuous improvement. It requires focus, practice, patience and commitment across the organization to shift from “doing agile,” to “being agile.”

Agile is about self-discipline. Discipline means embracing clearly defined values and principles. Based on these values and principles, develop well-established guidelines and policies, and then, take a structural approach to improve business performance and agility.

Customization
: Customization is about designing and producing intuitive products to tailor customers’ needs with “easy to use, personal taste” features. Personalized customer experience is an aggregate of all the different strategies around product/service differentiation. Organizations seek a deep understanding of their customers’ demands and expectations and also look beyond today’s solution.

Abundant information technology now allows for both more focused communication and consequent customization than ever before. It’s important to invite customers in the conversation for constructive feedback. Visualizing user experience enables the business to design and bring personalized solutions that meet customers’ needs, foster better ways the application can perform and optimize every touch point of user experience. It requires consistently digging deeper and having both strategic and tactical level customer experience metrics in place that keep a pulse on the inner workings of the business to improve people centricity of the company.

Holism
: Running business is an iterative problem-solving continuum. A holistic perspective is about seeing things as the whole, with interconnected parts and interdependent relationships; it helps to both understand the problem from different angles and solve it thoroughly. If the situation is very natural and fluid, with a lot of inter-dependencies, it takes a holistic view to see the ‘big picture’; make sure that the problem can be solved in a structural way without causing more issues later on.

So a holistic digital management approach is about leveraging nonlinear processes and interconnectivity between problems in a managerial context, to ensure that the business as a whole is superior to the sum of pieces. Digital organization as a holistic system can bring greater awareness of intricacies and the systemic values, business capabilities, people dynamics, resource alignment, technological touches to improve organizational innovation and maturity.

The digital ecosystem is complex and volatile, business advancement is made through the work of future-driven planning, updating knowledge, and progressive activities. To get into the deep, deep digital reality, businesses management today must make an objective assessment of the level of organizational performance and maturity. High performance organizations today are sophisticated for complex problem-solving, adaptive to rapid change, innovative to create unique sets of business value, and flexible to provide alternative solutions.
