Behavior Patterns

An employee behavior map helps organizations understand these elements to foster a positive culture and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Behavior is a manifestation of attitude, attitude results from the thoughts and mind. Behavior can be changed either through operational adjustment (small things you do as you are introduced to skills or information) or through transformation (adaptive shifts in thoughts or beliefs that result from looking inward and reflecting).

An employee behavior map typically involves understanding and visualizing the various aspects of employee behavior within an organization. This includes both visible and less-visible elements that contribute to the organizational culture and how employees interact with each other and their environment.

Visible Elements:

-Behavioral Regularities: These are the consistent ways in which employees interact, including the language, customs, and traditions they use.

-Publicly Announced Principles and Values: These are the stated goals and ideologies that guide the organization's actions and are communicated to employees and stakeholders.

-Atmosphere: This refers to the overall feeling or atmosphere conveyed by the organization, influenced by physical layouts and interpersonal interactions.

Less-Visible Elements:

Habits of Thinking: These are the shared mental models that influence how employees perceive and interpret their environment.

Shared Meanings and Symbols: These include the underlying ideas, feelings, and images that may not be consciously recognized but influence behavior and interactions.

BEHAVIOR as a symptom of attitude and attitude is the reflection of your mind. Short-term behavior changes are common under pressure, but it breeds discontent and, in the long run, people revert to their original habits, most of the time. An employee behavior map helps organizations understand these elements to foster a positive culture and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
