International Education vs. Global Education

Both international and global education are essential for fostering understanding and collaboration in an increasingly interconnected world, but they serve different purposes and focus on varying aspects of education.

We live in a hyperconnected and interdependent world; international Education focuses on the exchange of students and scholars across borders, often involving study abroad programs, international partnerships, and cultural exchange.

Global Education encompasses a broader understanding of global issues, aiming to prepare students to engage with the world as informed and responsible citizens.

Goals of International Education: Promote academic mobility. Foster cross-cultural understanding. Enhance language skills and cultural competencies. Key Features such as:

-Programs and degrees offered by institutions across different countries.

Just about the nature that nourishes our spirit.

Innovation

From reactive to proactive, the goal of disciplined innovation management is to stay focused and improve the innovation success rate.

Innovation involves creating new approaches, whether tangible (like a new product) or abstract (like a new philosophy). It is essential for developing sustainable production and living methods by offering alternatives to conventional practices that predate widespread environmental awareness.

Here is the insight from reaction to reflection in business innovation

To foster innovation, it is important to cultivate environments where numerous independent specialists can operate. Their work should be assessed based on its merits, not on adherence to traditional beliefs. This approach mirrors the principles that drive modern scientific practice and can be traced back to ancient times.

From reaction to reflection: Some organizations waste much time and tens of thousands of dollars reacting to problems/challenges, but never really solving anything, only creating more problems. So, as digital leaders or professionals, what’s your reflection: are you part of the problems or part of the solutions?

Key attitudes and practices that encourage scientific and technical innovation include:

Evaluating contributions using objective criteria, such as accuracy and efficiency, rather than the contributor's identity or personal characteristics.

Sharing knowledge to facilitate its application and increase overall understanding.

Acting with disinterest, prioritizing the advancement of knowledge over personal gain.

Ensuring that scientific claims are open to scrutiny and can withstand challenges, rather than relying on authority.

We need to listen and understand before acting, and constantly learn and educate/and share. Innovative organizations have explored the full spectrum of innovation and deployed a range of different management, technology, process, and structural solutions. From reactive to proactive, the goal of disciplined innovation management is to stay focused and improve the innovation success rate.

Power Integration

Integrating power dynamics in complex problem solving enhances collaboration, drives innovation, and empowers stakeholders.

Taking any meaningful initiative is to solve problems, big or small. It takes a systematic approach to solve complex problems.

Power integration is important for complex problem-solving. The transparent processes help to dig through the root cause of problems and develop a logical scenario for problem-prevention, problem-diagnosing, and problem-solving.

Understanding Power Dynamics: Identify Stakeholders: Recognize all parties involved and their influence on the problem. Understand the motivations and goals of each stakeholder to navigate conflicts and align interests.

Leveraging Collaborative Power: Build cross-functional teams. Create diverse teams that bring different perspectives and expertise to the problem. Facilitate dialogue and encourage open communication to foster collaboration and innovation.

Utilizing Data and Technology: Capture Data-Driven insights. Use data analytics to inform decision-making and identify patterns in complex problems. Implement software and tools that enhance collaboration and streamline problem-solving processes.

Empowering Decision-Making: Empower teams to make decisions at local levels to increase responsiveness and ownership. Ensure all voices are heard in the decision-making process to enhance buy-in and commitment.

Adapting to Change: Improve flexibility. Be prepared to adjust strategies based on new information or shifting dynamics within the problem landscape. Encourage continuous learning. Foster a culture of learning from both successes and failures to improve future problem-solving efforts.

Measuring Impact: Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of integrated power approaches in solving complex problems. Feedback Feedforward: Create mechanisms for ongoing feedback to refine strategies and enhance outcomes.

Integrating power dynamics in complex problem solving enhances collaboration, drives innovation, and empowers stakeholders. By understanding interests and leveraging diverse perspectives, organizations can navigate challenges more effectively and achieve sustainable solutions.

Recalibration

Unveiling a strategy for talent growth is essential for organizations aiming to foster a skilled and engaged workforce.

Recalibrating talent growth involves adjusting strategies to align with evolving workforce needs and individual development. Factors such as increasing diversity, changing job demands, and the need for continuous learning drive this recalibration.

Lifelong learning, training, and retraining: To address the mismatch between available skills and required skills, individuals need lifelong learning, training, and retraining, while firms need to increase their training investment. Many organizations invest in systematic management training and development efforts.

Firms invest in training through various methods, including:

-In-house programs: Many organizations invest in systematic management training and development efforts. Some corporations develop their own systems of technical classes, supplementing direct work training.

-On-the-job training: This includes socialization into the organization's practices, values, and culture. Career paths and job rotation policies also contribute to training and development.

-External programs: Firms may encourage further education by paying tuition fees or allowing free time to attend classes.

-Specialized training: New industries have created new needs, leading to highly developed training programs.

-Management development: Identifying high-potential managers early and placing them on a "fast track" developmental path is another strategy.

Training techniques: Formal lectures have given way to group discussions, case studies, role-playing, and audiovisual aids. Sensitivity training helps individuals study their behavior and reactions to one another through group discussion. Evaluating training program success involves assessing whether the effort is justified by greater overall efficiency and more successful operations. While the actual cost can be calculated, quality and ultimate success require value judgments.

Methods for measuring success include:

-Tests: Craft and routine occupational skills can be measured against agreed standards.

-Statistical analysis: Analyze training data and feedback to improve training performance.

-Subjective assessment: Supervision, management, and administrative tasks depend on personal capability as much as knowledge and experience, making them harder to measure. Knowledge can be imparted and experience acquired, but the guided development of personality is more difficult to assess. It's hard to mathematically assess how training opportunities offered to a senior executive during their career have aided professional development.

Unveiling a strategy for talent growth is essential for organizations aiming to foster a skilled and engaged workforce. The challenge today is for organizations to build a lasting capacity for continuous learning in order to build a culture of learning within the organization.

and we start to envision,

The beauty that awaits in-

who we can be someday.

Let’s reimagine,

In the clarity of vision,

there’s no shadow you can hide within.

Let’s reimagine together,

with wisdom as our guide,

In this purposeful adventure,

let’s take the ride.

GRC Oversight of Problem Solving

GRC is a set of complex processes that, if well executed at the different levels of organizational hierarchy, can lead to decision coherence and business effectiveness.

The GRC approach is about guidance, alignment, and monitoring. Nowadays, the geographical, functional, and industrial territories start blurring. GRC convergence is an idea whose time may have come to streamline information flow, reuse, or optimize common processes for improving business agility, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Governance Discipline: The governance approach is about establishing frameworks by defining clear policies and procedures for problem-solving within the organization. It enforces accountability by assigning responsibilities to ensure that issues are addressed effectively and timely.

Risk Management: Assess potential risks associated with critical problems and their impact on the organization. Develop plans to mitigate identified risks and ensure continuity.

Compliance: Enhance regulatory adherence to ensure that problem-solving processes comply with relevant laws and regulations. Establish the Internal Policies and align solutions with organizational policies and ethical standards.

Performance Monitoring: Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of problem-solving initiatives. Make continuous improvement. Use performance data to refine processes and enhance future problem-solving efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement: Involve relevant stakeholders in the problem-solving process to gather diverse perspectives and expertise and harness cross-boundary collaboration. Maintain transparent communication throughout the problem-solving lifecycle.

Training and Development: Take approaches for skill enhancement. Provide training for employees on problem-solving methodologies and GRC principles. Foster a culture of learning and sharing best practices across the organization.

GRC is a set of complex processes that, if well executed at the different levels of organizational hierarchy, can lead to decision coherence and business effectiveness. Effective GRC oversight in critical problem-solving ensures that organizations can address challenges proactively and responsibly, aligning solutions with governance, risk management, and compliance objectives.  By implementing a comprehensive GRC integration framework, organizations can create a more ethical, efficient, and resilient operating environment.

Just Climate,

more than carbon's cost,

Invest in futures,

imperative and true,

Where every unique voice is heard,

and the skies are clear.

It's not just sustainability,

it's a moral fight;

To heal the planet,

and make what's wrong, right

Equity, fairness, and justice,

must lead the way

For a sustainable future,

starting today

Just climate, just climate,

a call to action rings

Just climate, just climate,

For all living things,

A planet thriving,

where everyone can feel great,

a vision needs to  be shared,

a future we must dare to -

shape together.

Radical

Promote creative thinking and the development of new solutions. Encourage risk-taking and experimentation to find effective ways to implement radical change or harness radical innovation.

The speed of change is increasing, and the digital ecosystem has become more complex and dynamic. It is TIME to change. But radical change takes strategy and practices. Curve awareness, strength finding and building, practices, and measurement are the logical steps and systematic efforts to manage radical change or business innovation.

Radical change and incremental change represent contrasting approaches to transforming systems and policies. Radical Change involves fundamental transformations of the entire polity, affecting the structure of government, social order, moral basis, and values of the whole society. Radical change often needs to restructure the root of the company, such as organizational values, beliefs, culture, and objectives. For radical change with high complexity, it's critical to account for cross-cutting concerns, putting a change puzzle together requires trying different pieces, being flexible, and willing to put a piece aside to find another more appropriate piece.

Radical collaboration differs from teamwork in its aim for extreme change to the social order. Teamwork typically focuses on achieving specific goals within an existing framework, while radical collaboration seeks to transform the framework itself. Trust significantly influences collaboration outcomes by decreasing misunderstanding, tension, fear, anxiety, and conflict between parties, emphasizing goodwill and limiting conflict escalation. Confidence-building measures, which enhance trust, include communication, constraint, transparency, and verification. Communication averts tension, while transparency generates openness, and verification reduces mistrust. However, a lack of shared beliefs, trust, or common interests can undermine these measures. Methods of verification can also undermine communication, constraint, and transparency through a lack of trust.

Radical innovation starts with a problem that has no solution in the current situation. You know what you want, but you don't know how. Second, Radical innovation is out-of-the-box thinking, whereas incremental innovation is still inside-the-box thinking. The radical innovators are adept at seeing ways to transfer knowledge from one field to solve a problem in another. Radical Innovations are not something everyone can accomplish. You have to systematically develop the capability to execute it successfully, and that is something you do not accomplish overnight.

There are full emotional cycles behind changes, and it is a mixed bag of positive emotions and negative emotions. Promote creative thinking and the development of new solutions. Encourage risk-taking and experimentation to find effective ways to implement radical change or harness radical innovation.

Reveal

With courage in our gut feeling, we’ll take the leap. In the journey of problem-solving, the purpose we fit.

In the silence of the night,

hidden voice starts to echo,

Whispers of the mind are what we can’t conceive.

With every hidden truth,

the shadows start to fade,

It’s time to show the world,

the issues we’ve clarified.

Let it reveal, let it speak out,

The stories that we've held,

now are part of reinventing the world.

In the light of truth,

we’ll find our way,

With every step we take,

we’ll sustain the vision.

Through the silo walls people built,

and the fears they faced,

We’ll break the chains of doubt,

no time to waste.

With courage in our gut feeling,

we’ll take the leap,

In the journey of problem-solving,

the purpose we fit.

No more hiding away,

it’s our time to soar,

With every truth we share,

we’ll open the new gate.

Together we’ll embrace-

the beauty of the real,

In the work we've been down,

it’s trust that we feel.

So here we stand,

with our value and beliefs,

In this moment of truth,

we’ll never stray.

Let it reveal,

let the world see,

In the light of collective wisdom,

we’re finally unified.

Passive to Proactive

Strategic planning is essential for organizations to determine their vision and mission.

Strategic planning is a disciplined process that helps organizations make decisions and take actions that shape and guide their purpose and activities, especially concerning the future. It is a key part of organizational management and decision-making in public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

The approach to developing a strategic plan depends on the organization’s leadership, culture, complexity, environment, and size.

Examine past experiences, test assumptions, gather information: The strategic planning process is disciplined because it involves a series of questions that help organizational leadership examine past experiences, test assumptions, gather information about the present, and anticipate future conditions.

A significant part of the strategy involves making tough choices about what is most important for achieving organizational effectiveness. By setting priorities, strategic planning highlights that some decisions and actions are more critical than others. Typically, the strategy covers several years and needs to be adjusted over time.

Focusing the resources on key priorities: Strategic planning develops a sense of ownership of the plan and ensures that the most effective use is made of the organization’s resources by focusing the resources on key priorities, ensuring everyone works toward the same goals, and adjusting its direction as the environment changes.

Strategic planning clearly defines the purpose of the organization and establishes realistic goals and objectives consistent with that mission in a defined time frame within the organization’s capacity for implementation. It communicates those goals and objectives to the organization’s constituents.

Measuring and monitoring performance: To measure success, an organization must first define its purpose and set realistic goals and objectives that align with its mission, ensuring they can be achieved within a specific timeframe. It provides a base from which progress can be measured and establishes a mechanism for informed change when needed. To monitor the progress, organizations use tools such as:

-Sales analysis: Comparing sales goals with actual sales figures.

-Market-share analysis: Comparing a company’s sales with those of its competitors.

-Marketing expense-to-sales analysis: Gauging how much a company spends to achieve its sales goals.

-Financial analysis: Comparing profits to sales, sales to assets, and profits to assets.

-Customer satisfaction measurement: Tracking customer satisfaction through surveys and feedback.

Effectiveness starts with a clear vision, mission, and goals. Strategic management helps organizations think about their direction, environment, and strategies. Strategic planning is essential for organizations to determine their vision and mission. Communicating these goals to everyone involved is crucial. It also requires committed leadership, a supportive organizational culture, a structure for managing implementation, and the ability for members to participate in the planning process. Participation can be a powerful way to direct the energy of those involved.

we’ll pave the way to -

make progress,

For a brighter tomorrow,

let’s start at present.

From the shadows of injustice,

we’ll stand firm,

With compassion and empathy,

we’ll answer the call.

Every step we take,

we’ll show we care,

In unity and strength,

we’ll be aware.

So let’s lift our voices,

let’s make accomplishment.

Through education and common goals,

we’ll light the way,

Together we can change the world,

hand in hand.

With every act of kindness,

paradigm shift.

So here’s to the visionary,

the influencers for peace & justice,

In a world of awareness,

let’s find our release.

Between Light and Shadow

With open spirits and minds, we’ll find our way through. In the space of brightness, we’ll shed the light...

In the quiet surroundings,

where the whispers play,

I find myself wandering along the way.

Caught between -

the visions and the reality that bind.

In the blur of light and shadow,

clarity shall we find.

Between light and shadow,

where belief meets mistrust,

I’ll search for the objective truth,

I’ll breathe in the fresh insight.

In the shades of uncertainty,

I’ll stand my ground,

Embracing the journey of discovery,

where truth can be found.

Every step I take,

I’m learning to see objectively.

The beauty in the darkness,

the light that sets me free.

With every shadow cast,

there’s a story to tell,

In the interplay of colors,

I’ll find my own spell.

So here’s to the moments,

that shape who we are.

In the light of our struggles,

we’ll reach for the further horizon.

With courage as our compass,

we’ll navigate the night,

Finding strength in the darkness,

embracing the light of truth

So let’s walk this path,

hand in hand,

In the dance of light and shadow,

together we’ll stand.

With open spirits and minds,

we’ll find our way through struggles.

In the space of brightness;

we’ll shed the light...

Innovation

The essence of innovation management is about how to manage people, assets, and resources to meet the business goals for innovation.

Innovation is a tough journey. Either dealing with innovation dilemmas or handling innovation paradoxes, it is part of the innovation management learning curve. Although there’s no one size fitting all innovation practice, that makes innovation still be serendipity for many organizations.

Prioritizing : Prioritizing innovation management involves focusing on several key areas to improve efficiency and productivity. Here are some priorities for innovation management:

-Leadership Support: Top management should champion innovation and offer guidance.

Reward Innovation: Recognize and reward individuals who drive innovation.

Dedicated Resources: Allocate specific resources for innovation instead of expecting it to occur spontaneously.

-Diverse Workforce: Foster a diverse workforce and be open to ideas from various sources.

-Connected Structure: Ensure bureaucratic layers are closely connected to facilitate easy communication and implementation of innovations.

-Willingness to Experiment: Encourage experimentation with different approaches, accepting that not all will succeed.

-Practical ideas: Organizations should avoid superficial commitments to trendy solutions and instead focus on evaluating the usefulness of new ideas through empirical observation and testing.

Benchmarking: It is a technique for improving products or services, involves comparing specific aspects of a problem with an ideal standard and acting to converge the two. This process encourages learning and emulation within organizations and promotes competitive learning between service providers. Benchmarks need to be used in a manner that is imaginative and appropriate rather than mechanical and imposed from above. There are levels of benchmarking:

-Encouraging learning and emulation within organizations.

-Encouraging competitive learning between service providers.

Two methodological approaches to benchmarking include:

Sharing standardized data on performance in specific areas to encourage surpassing a benchmark.

Qualitative methods like self-assessment via questionnaires or organizational analysis by independent researchers or consultants.

Benchmarks need to be used in a manner that is imaginative and appropriate rather than mechanical and imposed from above.

The essence of innovation management is about how to manage people, assets, and resources to meet the business goals for innovation. Without well-defined business goals, you won’t have an effective plan and be able to manage a strategic innovation value chain.  Highly innovative organizations treat customers, channel partners, suppliers, and industry ecosystem participants as active digital agents to brainstorm fresh ideas and create new experiences.

Problems Reframing

By using these strategies & practices, you can effectively reframe complex problems, opening up new avenues for finding premium solutions that are innovative and effective.

We all develop reputations for being problem creators, problem definers, or problem solvers. To close the problem-solving gap and improve solution effectiveness, reframing complex problems is a crucial step in finding premium solutions. It involves looking at the problem from different perspectives, which can lead to innovative and effective solutions.

Here are some strategies to help reframe complex problems:

Strategies for Reframing Complex Problems

Define the Problem Clearly: Divide the problem into smaller, more manageable parts to understand its components better. Clearly define what you are trying to achieve by solving the problem.

Change Perspectives: Consider the problem from the perspectives of different stakeholders involved.

Analogies: Use analogies to compare the problem to similar situations in other fields or contexts.

Ask Provocative Questions: "What If" Scenarios: Explore hypothetical scenarios that challenge existing assumptions. Take the root cause analysis. Use techniques like the "5 Whys" to dig deeper into the underlying causes of the problem.

Use Creative Thinking techniques: Inspire brainstorming; encourage free-flowing ideas without immediate judgment to explore new possibilities. Practice mind mapping. Visualize the problem and its connections to potential solutions using diagrams.

Involve Diverse Teams: Harness cross-disciplinary Collaboration. Involve people from different backgrounds and areas of expertise to gain new insights.

Feedback Feedforward: Regularly seek feedback from others to refine your understanding of the problem.

Consider Constraints and Opportunities: Identify constraints; understand the limitations you are working within and how they impact potential solutions. Look for opportunities that may arise from the problem or its context.

Prototype and Test: Do experimentation; develop prototypes or small-scale tests to explore potential solutions in a practical setting. Use an iterative approach to refine solutions based on testing and feedback.

One of the biggest challenges for modern management is how to put the right people with the right capability in the right position to solve the right problem at the right time. By using these strategies & practices, you can effectively reframe complex problems, opening up new avenues for finding premium solutions that are innovative and effective.

From Stuck to Strategic

For change to be embraced by stakeholders, they ultimately need to understand why it is an improvement and what it could improve for them.

Change is part of reality with accelerated speed. There are both promises and perils in Change Management. The promises of effective changes often lead the organization to the next level of business agility and maturity. The perils of Change Management waste a lot of resources and cause a lot of pain.

From being stuck to strategic: To transition from being stuck to strategic in change management, organizations should clearly define their purpose and establish realistic goals that align with their mission. Communicating these goals and objectives to all members of the organization is crucial, fostering a sense of ownership and ensuring resources are focused on key priorities. This approach provides a basis for measuring progress and allows for informed adjustments when necessary.

From procrastination to participation: Strategic planning and continuous change require committed leadership, a supportive organizational culture, an established structure for coordinating and managing the implementation process, and the ability on the part of organizational members to participate in the planning process. Participation can be a powerful device for directing the energy of participants in the public organization.

From reactive to proactive or radical: The Change Management process must be open to new insights that should come from the persons involved in the program. Organizations need to be agile and able to adjust to the rapid and exceedingly high degrees of technological change in order to maintain their effectiveness. Organizational change may require cultural change. Therefore, recognition and understanding of the patterns of basic underlying assumptions that guide behavior in an organization are essential.

Change Management has become an important discipline, often going hand-in-hand with strategy management and project management. The most challenging aspect of any change management plan is to gain engagement with the workforce. For change to be embraced by stakeholders, they ultimately need to understand why it is an improvement and what it could improve for them. It's often a holistic approach to unlock organizational performance.

Factors in Strategy

Effective strategy management requires balancing and integrating both strategic and tactical thinking for building a unique competency.

Strategic management fosters a sense of ownership among stakeholders and establishes a mechanism for measuring progress and implementing informed changes.

In strategic management, factors at both the macro and micro levels influence an organization's strategies and operations.

Macro Environment: It represents the larger, broad-scale environment that indirectly affects all individuals and organizations within a certain region or economy. It consists of factors such as economic conditions, political and regulatory developments, social and cultural trends, and technological advancements. These factors can create opportunities or pose threats to businesses, but they are generally beyond the control of any single organization.

Macro-Level Factors: The external environment significantly shapes an organization's strategy. These include:

-Market conditions: Understanding the competitive landscape is crucial for strategic planning.

-External forces: The pattern of strategy in an organization is determined not only by the plans and actions of its leaders but also by forces in its external environment.

-Environmental demands: A company's strategy and structure must meet the demands of the external environment.

-Resources and capabilities Strategic planning ensures the most effective use of an organization's resources by focusing on key priorities.

Micro Environment: It refers to the immediate, small-scale environment that directly affects an individual or organization. In business, this includes elements like customers, suppliers, competitors, and other stakeholders that directly influence a company's operations and success. It focuses on understanding the specific needs, behaviors, and relationships within a defined market segment.

Micro-Level Factors: These are internal elements within the organization:

Internal strengths and weaknesses: SWOT analysis helps companies understand their internal capabilities and limitations.

Organizational structure: The quality of a company is judged by how well its strategy and organizational structure work together.

Leadership and culture: Committed leadership and a supportive organizational culture are essential for strategic planning and continuous change.

In essence, the microenvironment is about the specific actors and forces that directly impact a company's ability to serve its customers, while the macroenvironment encompasses the broader societal and economic factors that shape the overall business landscape.

The aftermath of strategic management involves evaluating the effectiveness of the strategies implemented and making necessary adjustments to align with organizational goals and external changes. Strategy provides direction while tactics execute the plan. Effective strategy management requires balancing and integrating both strategic and tactical thinking for building a unique competency.

Innovation

The progress of the world needs to be pulled together and pushed forward by innovators, change agents, and high-quality professionals across the globe.

Today’s internet-based world is much more hyper-connected and interdependent. Business leaders and professionals need to open their minds, become more inclusive, and show intellectual curiosity to embrace a variety of perspectives, work across boundaries to co-solve complex problems innovatively.

Purpose: The primary goal of global innovation is to develop solutions that address pressing global challenges, such as climate change, health care, and education. Foster cross-cultural collaboration to leverage diverse perspectives and expertise for more effective problem-solving. Generate economic and social value through innovative products, services, and processes that improve quality of life worldwide.

Platform: Encourage contributions from various sources, including startups, corporations, and academia, to create a rich environment for innovation. Establish physical and virtual spaces where diverse stakeholders can collaborate, experiment, and develop new ideas. Utilize online platforms and tools to facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among global teams, and build a highly effective digital ecosystem.

Partnership: Engage partnerships between businesses, governments, NGOs, and academic institutions to pool resources and expertise. Build networks that connect innovators across borders, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. Focus on common objectives, such as sustainability and social impact, to align efforts and maximize the effectiveness of partnerships.

There is knowledge abundance, variability, uncertainty, ambiguity, etc. The progress of the world needs to be pulled together and pushed forward by innovators, change agents, and high-quality professionals across the globe. Global innovation thrives on a clear purpose, effective platforms for collaboration, and strong partnerships. By harnessing these elements, stakeholders can drive meaningful progress and address the complex challenges facing the world today.

Global Value

The whole value chain needs to be aligned, engaged, and define a common set of global values to co-solve important global issues.

A global value set involves individuals sharing similar values, aspirations, or lifestyles, leading to a collection of social groups with unifying ideals that go beyond geographical limitations.

Global professionals today need to articulate a set of clearly-defined values that they can bring to the table, present a fitting mindset, attitude, and behavior consistency in conveying those values consistently.

Some key aspects include:

-Evolving Definition of Culture: Culture is seen as a changing set of ideas, attributes, and expectations influenced by people reacting to changing circumstances.

-Human Rights: These are rights that individuals possess simply by being human, due to inherent vulnerability, or as a requirement for a just society. Human rights encompass a wide range of values and capabilities aimed at enhancing human agency and protecting human interests, and they are considered universal.

Key points on how global values relate to culture: Global values and culture are related in that the sharing of similar values, aspirations, or lifestyles among certain individuals leads to the formation of elite groups with unifying ideals that surpass geographical boundaries.

-Culture Defined: Culture is now viewed as a dynamic collection of ideas, attributes, and expectations that evolve as people respond to changing circumstances.

-Cultural Relativism: Increased knowledge has led to a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultures. Recognizing that universal needs can be met through culturally diverse means has led to the view that each culture should be understood and appreciated in its own context.

Local vs. Global Culture

-Local Culture: Local culture describes daily life experiences within specific, identifiable areas, reflecting feelings of comfort, appropriateness, and personal preferences. Despite global networks, local communities remain significant to most individuals.

-Global Culture: Some believe a basic version of world culture is developing among people who share values, resulting in cross-boundary groups whose shared ideals go beyond geographical limits.

The global world is diversified, and value is a multi-dimensional concept. The whole value chain needs to be aligned, engaged, and contributing so customers and stakeholders get their fair share, define the common set of global values, and co-solve important global issues.
