Moment of Silence

 For a moment of silence, I’ll contemplate, and I’ll awake. Let the upset be gentle reminder—Let the light of understanding come in its way, forward.

The city is holding secret again,

Streetlights paint the walls in gray.
there is noise I carried from the street.
try to find a way to enjoy-

a moment of silence
no need words to feel the weight—
no need to answer right away.
Sometimes worry looks like letting go,
And truth looks like a thing that won’t stay close.

So if you prefer to be quiet,

that’s okay,
We can sit with what we can’t say.
For a moment of silence,
Let it come, let it pass.
No rushing through the hard realm;
No pretending it won’t last.
For a moment of silence,
We’ll remember with our eyes.
Every tear is a story—
Every change is a fresh beginning

I listen to the echoes in my mind,
Like footsteps fading down the hall.
We built a thousand little tomorrows
Out of the info that didn’t fall apart
And now the world keeps moving,
But I’m standing firm on purpose now.
If healing’s slow, then healing’s real,
And I’ll let it take its time.

And if my mind gets confused,

let thoughts get clarified
I’ll still believe what I meant.
For a moment of silence,
Let it come, let it pass.
No rushing through the hard part,
No pretending it won’t last.
For a moment of silence,
We’ll remember with our eyes.
Every tear is a reminder
Every sweat is a perspiration .

If I could turn back every hour,
I’d rewrite all the pain we missed.
But time doesn’t trade in “could have been,”
It teaches how to live with what it gives.
So I’ll speak in what I do now,
I’ll carry what I learned somehow—
In the quiet, I find the truth;

true understanding isn’t always easy,

it just changes how.

For a moment of silence,
I’ll contemplate, and I’ll awake
Let the upset be gentle reminder—
Let the light come in its way, forward.
For a moment of silence,
We’ll be more than what we lost.
When the sun starts again tomorrow,
We’ll rise—soft, but not lost.
