Each time when I visited New York city, I enjoyed hanging around in different parts of the urban areas, from downtown to midtown to upper town, experiencing the city diversity and cultivating my cultural tastes .
This spring, I went to the 66th Annual New York International Antiquarian Book Fair held in the city center area. The staff there were friendly and introduced the event briefly to me. When I visited the book exhibition hall, I saw hundreds of book booths at which the industry professionals introduced their book collections to the audiences; and those antique books revealed our literary history across the world.
Key highlights of the 2026 fair included:
Attracting New Audiences: A refreshed vision featured an Ambassador Program with cultural figures, alongside a pivot toward more affordable items to appeal to younger buyers.
Respecting History and Knowledge: The antique book fair opened a widow for readers to understand the history of literature, exploring knowledge from different angles.
Musical & Pop-Culture Artifacts: While primarily a book fair, this year's edition stood out for its rare musical memorabilia:
The fair featured book rarities alongside significant first editions of major literary and history collections. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the fair featured a theme exploring the scientific, artistic, and political revolutions that shaped America.
