From Architecture to Organizational Growth

Business Growth is the dimension that deals with all the dimensions of change, portfolio management, etc.

Organizations become more complex and information-abundant. Strategic management is a fundamental component of organizational success, as it guides decision-making, aligns resources with goals, and ensures business agility in a changing environment.

Strategic management involves both the creation of a strategic plan (architecture) and its implementation (execution) to guide an organization toward its goals.

Strategic Planning: Strategic planning defines the organization's purpose and sets realistic goals within a specific timeframe, aligning with its capacity for implementation. It involves:

-Defining direction: Strategic planning establishes the organization’s direction and anticipates the future.

-Setting objectives: It sets realistic goals and objectives consistent with the organization's mission.

-Resource allocation: Strategic planning focuses resources on key priorities, ensuring effective use of the organization’s resources.

-Agility: It establishes a mechanism for informed change when needed.

-Communication: Goals and objectives are communicated to the organization’s constituents.

-Ownership: Strategic planning develops a sense of ownership of the plan.

Strategic Execution: Effective execution requires a supportive organizational culture, committed leadership, a structure for managing implementation, and the ability of organizational members to participate in the planning process.

-Committed leadership: Strategic planning and continuous change require committed leadership.

-Supportive culture: A supportive organizational culture is essential for driving business growth.

-Established structure: An established structure for coordinating and managing the implementation process is needed for enabling change.

-Participation: Organizational members should be able to participate in the planning process.

Business Growth is the dimension that deals with all the dimensions of changes, portfolio management, etc. It is the execution of short-term and long-term projects, and they can aim at creating value internally or externally.
