Innateprofessionalism

It doesn’t mean if you had a profession, you would automatically be a well-respected professional with high professionalism.

It is difficult to have a highly competitive organization without highly professional and competitive people to deal with ever-evolving change and solve over-complex problems consistently. High professionalism is an important quality for today’s multigenerational, multicultural and multi-devicing workforce.

Being professional means you present a certain set of qualities that show a high level of excellence & value, working ethics, peculiar and essential character. In fact, professionalism is a foundation to bring wisdom in the workplace, instill positive atmosphere, intellectual stimulation, shape growth mindsets, culture of learning, nurture open-minded leadership, enforce collaborative working relationships to solve problems effectively.

Professional perception:
Even though everyone lives in actual reality, we experience actual reality through the filter of personal realities. Perception can be positive or negative, objective or subjective; positive mentality and objective perception are important to observe deeper, frame the right problems and solve them smoothly. As people’s perception reflects their inner self and which lens they apply to make the judgment of others. Unprofessionalism leads to unconscious bias, subjective perception, bad judgment and then drives poor decisions which will cause more problems sooner or later.

Being a digital professional inherently and inextricably links with high levels of “professionalism.” High-quality professionals look decently, think positively & profoundly, perceive objectively, and act thoughtfully, making objective judgment for improving decision effectiveness. It’s important to cultivate the cognitive abilities to ensure that your version of perception is more objective, closer to the actual reality and is more persuasive for communicating with clarity and solving related problems effectively.

Professional attitude: Nobody is perfect, we all have strength and weakness, focus or preference. Attitude is a way of thinking and a way of looking at the problem. Attitude based on your beliefs, knowledge, experience, is fundamentally about ''how you react to any situation that comes up?'' Professional attitude is developed on the basis of one's understanding groomed by the growth environment, education, circumstances, and surroundings. Being professional means having a positive mentality and attitude, taking things in a constructive way and choosing the actions with enthusiasm, taking a moderate risk with realistic optimism, in order to solve problems more effectively.

How one looks at a problem – challenge, threat or danger depends on the attitude of the person. Professionals need to have a humble attitude for knowing their limits and how to improve by comparing their work with their peers. If one’s attitude is positive, they take it as a challenge or good opportunity; and if it is negative, they perceive it as a threat or a big problem. It means that the individual not only has the skill but also presents high-quality professionalism such as objective perceptions, fair judgment and good behaviors, analyzing their experience and enhancing professional discipline, providing alternative solutions.

Professional capability:
Problem-solving is complex today; high professionals should keep developing professional capabilities, integrating the existing building blocks or recombining existing capabilities into the more sophisticated capabilities for solving complex problems and making a high impact. Technically, professional capability is underpinned by various hard and soft factors such as talent, process, motivation, special training, etc, to accomplish certain tasks and solve problems smoothly.

To solve more complex problems and get higher than expected results, multidimensional cognition count, enriched years of experience count, strong discipline count, and great attitude to learn from your frustration and failures count. People need to keep exploring their talent, broadening their relevant skills and deepening their interdisciplinary expertise, becoming more good at building, integrating, and reconfiguring their professional competencies to solve new sets of problems faster, better and innovatively.

It doesn’t mean if you had a profession, you would automatically be a well-respected professional with high professionalism. Professionals have a winning mixture composed of intelligence, competence, confidence, humility, working ethics, self-esteem and emotional excellence; have strong expertise and integrity, with a set of skills to substantiate what they stand for, work with daily practices according to the principles; but with the courage to break out of date rules, solve critical problems and deliver high quality results consistently.
