The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco has a notable collection of sculptures depicting the bodhisattva Guan YiGuan Yin of the Southern Seas is one of the museum's most famous and iconic works. It is a large, gilt-bronze sculpture of Guan Yin, the bodhisattva of compassion, seated in a serene and contemplative pose. The sculpture is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art. After visiting the exhibitions on the second and third floors, I sat in the outside garden located on the second floor, enjoying the sunshine and urban atmosphere at noon time. I also walked across the farmers' market and hung around in the civic plaza. It’s great for me to visit museums and nearby areas on the weekend to relax, learn, observe, and ponder around, enjoy the urban surroundings.
