This Botanical Garden is renowned as an oasis of tranquility, a place where visitors can immerse themselves in natural harmony, art appreciation, and intellectual discovery.
In Los Angeles, Pasadena has always been a great city I enjoyed visiting, and the Huntington Botanical Gardens is one of the prettiest gardens in California with blossoms of flowers, fruit orchids, sculptures, and great architecture.
The botanical gardens cover over 120 acres and feature a diverse array of themed gardens and plant collections that showcase the incredible botanical diversity found across the globe. The collection has been continuously expanded and curated since the 1920s when Huntington first started assembling its world-class botanical holdings.
The best of the best gardens is Huntington's Desert Garden: It is home to one of the largest and most impressive collections of cacti and succulents in the world, with thousands of plants representing a variety of different species, including many rare and endangered species.. Some of these hardy plants grow tall and long, and others are shaped round, like big basketballs; many of the cacti and succulents in this garden are quite old, having been part of the collection for decades. Cacti, in general, are known to be extremely long-lived plants. Some species can live for hundreds of years,
The Rose Garden - One of the largest rose gardens in the world, featuring thousands of rose plants with so many different varieties and colors. It’s the summer season, the garden looks so blossom under the sunshine. Tourists enjoyed the scenes and left an impressive memory.
Beyond the stunning horticultural displays, the Huntington also houses an impressive art museum and one of the largest research libraries in the United States. Visitors can explore art collections, rare books, and manuscripts on-site. Due to the time limit, I didn’t go through them all comprehensively.
I walked a couple of miles that day inside the garden and across the neighborhood visiting local universities. Pasadena is renowned as an oasis of tranquility, a place where visitors can immerse themselves in natural harmony, art appreciation, and intellectual discovery.
