Business Architecture's role in designing and planning future enterprise is to gain the long term strategic-choreography perspectives, understand business complexity and its dynamic ecosystem. It’s an effective planning, facilitating, and optimizing tool for diagnosing and managing complexity, driving business value and cost-efficiency via consolidation, integration, optimization. 

Business architecture design is a journey, the stakeholders would like to see multifaceted value delivered, to reach the next level of business management maturity.

Information Architecture: The value of information is not isolated. The quality data reveals essential truths about not only the business domain it covers but also about the systems that capture it. Information Architecture is a useful tool to articulate how information will be structured for enabling users to make effective decisions. Data can be accurate, consistent, timely, but data can also be shared among many different business groups. Information architecture helps to understand and manage complexity of business management activities, know how to prioritize based on the business needs, communicate extensively, and focus on information adoption

Information Architecture defines the current state, future state and guidance of information management; establishes the informational occurrences required for all management & accomplishment elements. Information systems orchestrated via effective information architecture incorporate both ends and means, continuously open to new information from the dynamic business environment and are able to circulate information within the ecosystem seamlessly.

Business architecture:
The business architecture is used as a collaboration instrument to create a structural capability map and improve the organizational capabilities to implement business strategy for reaching the future state of the business. The business architectural oversight of capability development allows budget, resources, and talent aligned with the business strategies/objectives scientifically. The value of capability maps is the ability to identify capability patterns and offer insight to senior management in making holistic investment decisions.

With business architecture as an effective mapping tool, those business capabilities with gaps are evaluated objectively, which produces a list of remediation work that needs completing to improve differentiated business competencies. The best scenario is to leverage architecture for creating a comprehensive capability map through cross-functional collaboration. Processes underpin capability, capability enables business strategy management. By applying architecture as an effective tool, business leaders should take the lead in introducing process management into the entire company and integrate processes across the organization for improving business effectiveness, agility, and maturity.

Organizational solution architecture
: Running an effective business is to solve either strategic or tactical problems on a daily basis. A well-designed solution architecture helps to apply a holistic view, take customized approaches to each problem, and make continuous adjustment. Business solution architectures should be used or consumed in general business "solutions." It is the set of principles, guidelines, processes, etc, that describe how the components and standards of the business work cohesively to solve a set of problems smoothly.

Enterprise architecture contains the organizational context and is strategic in that it gives direction to the business design and innovation, shaping a longer view which is essential to make sure that the business is moving in the right directions by overcoming obstacles. Architects suggest implementable solutions. It helps to achieve a situational balanced compromise or a trade-off. There should not be any imbalance between the solution communicated and what the technical team understood it to be. So the business solutions can be sustained not only in the "systems," but in the systems of people.
