NobHill

The hill was up and down with cursive lanes; the rain was drizzling down; a few pedestrians headed in different directions; the city seemed to be very quiet on my way down to the city center area.

San Francisco, as a global metropolitan city, is famous of its elegant hills and vibrant ocean piers. Both Artists and scientists often find inspiration in the hills’ beauty and openness, from which, you can capture the great view of the Pacific Ocean, or appreciate the grandeur of human-made architecture buildings.

Nob Hill is one of the city's most well-known hills, sometimes referred to collectively as the "Seven Hills of San Francisco."

I walked around the city center area of San Francisco very frequently to participate in professional conferences or cultural activities; enjoying the walking exercise of hill-up and down, and seeing tourists coming to visit different places, such as galleries, museums, or shopping centers. Whether sunshine or rainy days, we can appreciate the different charms of this urban city.

Nob Hill in San Francisco is a great neighborhood that offers a mix of luxury, history, and entertainment! This morning, I climbed up the hill again, from California Ave up to the top, visiting the Fairmont Hotel located on the top of Nob Hill. There was the ceremony for the Fairmont's Ginger House lighting up event to celebrate the holiday season in the grand hotel lobby this weekend.

Around 10:00 am, there were already lots of visitors gathering in the lobby, waiting for the performance. Soon, many school kids dressing like Santa Claus lined up and sang Christmas songs with the holiday music to cheer up the audience. At about 11:00 am, the light was lit up in the giant Giger House, which was built with thousands of bricks and has about a two-story structure. The large Christmas tree was also lit up,  shining with the holiday ornament.

After the event, I walked around the Fairmont Hotel which was decorated with the holiday themes; the gift shop on the first floor sells different souvenirs and fluffy animals, or clothes with the holiday themes. Some guests had their brunch in the hotel restaurants, Going deeper, there is a garden with different flowers and plants. The rain started pouring down, and the garden looked fresh. I also visited a few galleries, at which some abstract paintings with enriched colors look trendy and elegant.

About noon time,, I left the hotel, walked around the hill, captured the ocean view at the top; passed through a few other grand buildings, and took a stroll around the Nob Hill neighborhood to enjoy the hill views and historic landmarks. Honestly, to say, it is a narrow place without a lot of natural green color themes, but the architectural buildings are impressive.

The hill was up and down with cursive lanes; the rain was drizzling down; a few pedestrians headed in different directions; the city seemed to be very quiet on my way down to the city center area. The weather is a bit chilly, but the sun started rising up.  It's the time to sip a cup of tea, observe deeper, and ponder around, experiencing this charming city with all sorts of views and perceptions.
