2 Due to the “VUCA” characteristics of business new normal, the digital workplace today needs to become dynamic and informative. Traditional hierarchical lines will phase out and a collective of the business partnership will emerge.
3 IT and the business must be partners, must be able to speak the same language, finish each other’s sentences, to solve the well-defined business problems. IT and the business need to develop a true partnership and work to pursue the desired outcomes.
4 Organizational success comes when IT and business act from 'IT vs. business' to "IT is Business" - A true partnership.
5 Accountability goes hand in hand with the delegation of authority or power. Accountability is part of personal integrity. If you ensure the individuals have the autonomy within their tasks, you will be able to address performance on an equal partnership base.
6 Alignment shouldn’t just refer to top-down conformity, order taking, or inside-out operational mapping. It needs to include a broader scope of organizational tunings such as integration, engagement, collaboration, partnership, harmony link, fuse, affiliation, coalition, fit, match, meld, and convergence.
7 A platform innovation approach involves an external ecosystem of customer relationships, business partnerships, or different stakeholder interactions for generating novel ideas and creating unique business value.
8 Modern IT and Marketing are both competitors and partners, they should compete with the speed, agility, and intelligence; but they are also complementary business partners, to understand and manage data, capture customer insight, work collaboratively in driving business digitalization and shaping the customer-centric organization.
