It hosts exhibitions, seminars, and public programs related to literature and academic research. I stopped by and visited a small-sized galley.
Due to a tight schedule, I didn’t have enough time there to do more comprehensive research, as I was going to leave Chicago the next day. Based on the librarians’ introduction and online references, the library's strengths lie in its collections related to American history and culture, European history, literature, music, religion, and the history of printing and publishing. Rare books and manuscripts of literary works, including early editions of English and American authors. The Newberry Library supports scholarly research through its reading rooms, where researchers can access and study materials from the collection.
