Innovation is closely linked to creativity, which involves the ability to generate novel and useful ideas or products. Creative individuals often exhibit traits such as autonomy, mastery of a particular domain, and a willingness to embrace unconventional ideas. They also tend to be independent, nonconformist, and reflective, relying on their intuition to guide their creative processes.


Creativity requires a balance of convergent thinking (analytic reasoning) and divergent thinking. While high intelligence is common among creative individuals, the "threshold" model suggests that above a certain level, intelligence has less correlation with creativity.
