If Geneva is like the blue gem with culture enriched printing, then Zurich is like the golden button you could push on for connecting the nations and the world.
I left Geneva and headed to Zurich and walked through the downtown streets for a couple of hours. It was a wet rainy chilly day and it happened to be the Black Friday. Although most Swedish people didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving but walking through downtown there, you know the holiday Season is coming.Zurich streets are crowded; the shops are already decorated with Christmas ornaments; the lights are lit on brightly. Tourists mixing with local residents hang around to do their shopping and find good deals. I found my goodies also helped the staff in the boutique I shopped to take their teamwork photo for the holiday.
From the main train station, walking about half an hour, passing quite a few great architecture buildings, numerous stores and restaurants, I arrived at the waterfront of Zurich Lake. If Geneva lake looks bright, harmonious and energetic in the sunshine day in my memory. Then at this moment, Zurich Lake seems to be a bit dark, stormy and gloomy on a rainy day indicating business risks and turbulence. No people laughing, no boats running, no Swans swimming. Still, it’s a giant lake full of power and energy nourishing the people and surroundings.
If Geneva is like the blue gem with culture enriched printing, then Zurich is like the golden button you could push on for connecting the nations and the world.
