Artificial intelligence is a computer science field focused on creating machines capable of performing tasks that seem to require human intelligence, such as problem-solving and language understanding 

Advantages of Automation

Lower costs: AI tools can identify errors that could increase expenses and perform tasks previously outsourced, like bookkeeping and customer support.

Time savings: Automating repetitive tasks like scheduling, data sorting, and drafting messages can free up hours each week. It can also accelerate the creation of marketing materials.

Better decisions: Certain tools can analyze sales patterns, customer behavior, or spending data to inform decisions about cost reduction, product promotion.

Higher production rates and increased productivity: Automated systems perform manufacturing processes with less variability than humans, resulting in greater control and consistency of product quality.

Improved safety: Automated systems can do certain high risky works from the workplace, protecting people from factory hazards.

Ethical Considerations: The rise of AI raises ethical concerns, including potential work displacement, fairness, privacy, and accountability. To mitigate negative impacts, AI system designers can develop AI that augments human labor, deploy AI tools incrementally, and focus on tasks that are too dangerous or impractical for humans. 

Enterprises have a moral responsibility to use AI in ways that enhance their workforces by providing opportunities for retraining and upskilling employees.

Limitations of AI: Despite its usefulness, AI has limitations. It struggles with building trust, managing staff, thinking creatively, and navigating situations requiring judgment or empathy. The best applications of AI are for tasks that are repetitive or slow down productivity, such as responding to customer questions or screening applicants.

An intelligent business or society always looks for opportunities across the boundaries to improve and innovate, predict and prevent risks for improving organizational responsiveness and resilience.
