Inflexibility

Good ideas nearly never emerge spontaneously but from interactions, not single individuals. Silos, rigidity, inflexibility, static mindset, or bureaucracy, etc., create gaps and slow down idea flow and stifle innovation.

"Digital Master” is a series of guidebooks (28 + books) to perceive the multi-faceted impact digital is making to the businesses and society, help forward-thinking organizations navigate through the journey in a systematic way, and avoid “rogue digital.”

It perceives the emergent trends of digital leadership, provides advice on how to run a digital organization to unleash its full potential and improve agility, maturity, and provide insight about Change Management. It also instructs the digital workforce on how to shape a game-changing digital mindset and build the right set of digital capabilities to compete for the future. Here is a set of “Inflexibility” quotes in “Digital Master.

Because having too little oversight and too much decentralization leads to a lack of any “KM system.” On the other side, if there is too much centralization and inflexibility, and there won’t be room for growth and adoption by users.

Lack of cohesiveness is often caused by silo mentality, stale knowledge, inflexible processes, or homogeneous team setting, leading towards slowness and small-thinking, and generates multiple gaps.

The larger the organization and inputs are, the larger the amount of 'rules' necessary for its functions, to keep dependent variables and output delivery stable. If not handled well, organizations are overly rigid, inflexible and become so vulnerable to the dynamic business environment.

Lack of leadership greatness has many reasons such as: close-mindedness, unconscious biases, inflexibility, cultural blindness, negativity, egotism, low EQ, etc.

Inflexibility is caused by bureaucratic management practices, complicated processes or procedures, legacy IT systems, outdated rules or practice, etc.

Good ideas nearly never emerge spontaneously but from interactions, not single individuals. Silos, rigidity, inflexibility, static mindset, or bureaucracy, etc, create gaps and slow down idea flow and stifle innovation.

For many companies, innovation is still serendipitous, there are no well crafted strategies or systematic approaches to improve its success rate. There is inflexibility & ineffectiveness in the processes of innovation implementation.
