To understand a character psychologically, we need to analyze thoughts, attitudes, behaviors, motivations, and experiences; and develop a framework to analyze a character. By examining the following aspects, we can begin to understand the character's psyche and what makes them tick.
Personality Traits: What are the character's dominant personality traits? Are they introverted or extroverted? Neurotic or stable? Open or closed to experience?
Motivations: What drives the character? What are their desires, needs, and fears?
Support Mechanisms: How does the character cope with stress and anxiety? Do they use defense mechanisms like denial, repression, or projection?
Internal Conflicts: What internal struggles does the character face? Are they battling internal struggles or moral dilemmas?
Interactive Relationships: How does the character interact with others? What kind of attachment styles do they have?
How has the character's past shaped their personality and behaviors? What are some significant events from their childhood or past that may have influenced them?
Character is a human's blueprint, both natural and nurtured. Character reflects one’s inner world, the combination of perception - how they interpret the world, and personality - how they interact with the world.
