Expert opinion significantly influences decision-making across various fields by providing specialized knowledge and insights that are not accessible to the general public. In the realm of public opinion, expert insights can shape perceptions and attitudes, particularly when they highlight underlying issues or concerns.
Cultural Influence: Culture plays a significant role in shaping social influences. Cultural orientations, such as individualism and collectivism, greatly affect how individuals respond to social pressures. In collectivist cultures, which emphasize interdependence and social harmony, individuals tend to conform more to group norms. This is because collectivists prioritize collective goals and are more concerned with how their behavior affects others and how they are perceived by their peers.
