Observe deeper, and ponder around, not only do we admire natural wonders, but also we appreciate human-made great things of all kinds.
During the winter season, San Francisco is warm, colorful, vibrant, and full of the holiday spirit. Lighting and ornaments make the city tourist-friendly, and there are lots of things we can explore.
Vintage buses: San Francisco is known for its iconic vintage buses, which are part of the city's historic transportation fleet. One of the most famous vintage buses in San Francisco is the "Muni Heritage Fleet," which includes a variety of antique buses from different eras, such as the iconic yellow and green "boat tram" and the classic "Green Hornet" trolley bus. In fact, I saw the business in all different colors: blue, gold, red, orange, brown, ivy, purple, etc.
These vintage buses can often be seen operating on special routes throughout the city, offering passengers a unique and nostalgic experience of public transportation. San Francisco also hosts various events and parades where antique buses and streetcars are showcased, allowing residents and visitors to appreciate the rich history of transportation in the city.
Cable cars: Riding cable cars is another unique scenery in San Francisco, I often saw the smiling faces of passengers taking the cable car, holding tightly on the handles, letting the wind blow up, moving up toward the hills or down through the waterfront. That would be one of the interesting journeys for tourists of all kinds, experiencing a piece of the city's history while enjoying stunning views of the city and bay.
The Cable Car system in San Francisco has a rich and fascinating history. It was first introduced in the late 19th century as a way to navigate the city's steep hills. Today, the San Francisco cable car system is a cherished icon of the city and is one of the last manually operated cable car systems in the world.
Colorful Trucks: Trucks are another interesting scene in the city, they are used for food/merchandise transportation, moving, or construction purposes. I saw the trucks with bright blue colors, named "ideal," with cool designs and bright themes; I saw the colorful trucks running through the street, with the "Fresh Point" symbols on it, I saw all sorts of vehicles with bright-color and interesting symbols, which stimulate my imagination and delight my eyes.
Cleaning Vehicles: In San Francisco, vehicles known as street sweepers are commonly used to clean up streets, sidewalks, and other public spaces. These specialized vehicles are equipped with rotating brushes and vacuum systems to collect debris, dirt, leaves, and litter from the streets. Street sweepers play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of the city's urban environment. Sometimes, they do the cleaning work at the deep night or early morning.
Another type of vehicle used for cleaning purposes in San Francisco is the water truck or water tanker. These vehicles are equipped with large tanks that carry water, which can be used for various purposes such as street cleaning, watering plants, dust suppression, and even emergency response for spill cleanup. Water trucks are essential for maintaining clean and safe public spaces throughout the city.
Near the Civic Square, I also saw the special giant vehicle that can lift up and down, people standing on it can control the vehicle by pushing or twisting the buttons, steering the vehicles fluently toward different directions, so they are able to clean up the windows of the tall building. There are also some mini-vehicles running through the playground, they run through swiftly at the plaza, and the staff spilled off the water and cleaned up the ground more effortlessly. I expect more robot cleaners to become the helpers that do such cleaning work in the future.
Observe deeper, and ponder around, not only do we admire natural wonders, but also we appreciate human-made great things of all kinds. Every city has its own character and charm, we can take the city's pulse, move forward, create fresh stories, learn from historical legend, and listen to other people's stories as well. So we can co-shape an advanced human society.
