Innovators

An innovator has an obligation to challenge the status quo, for social, humanity and commercial betterment.

Innovation is the light every organization pursues. Innovators are the one who can make unique influence. As there are several distinct types of innovators who challenge societal norms, ranging from business disruptors to sociological figures. They can be categorized as follows:

-Sociological Innovators (Norm & Moral Entrepreneurs): These individuals or groups actively seek to change, redefine, or enforce societal norms and moral boundaries.

-Social Entrepreneurs: These are individuals or organizations interested in changing social norms. They persuade others of the desirability of certain behaviors, potentially triggering "norm bandwagons" and "norm cascades" that lead to substantial societal changes.

-Moral Entrepreneurs: These roles seek to influence a group to adopt or maintain a norm based on assumed boundaries of altruism or deviance. They fall into two categories: rule creators (who crusade against perceived social evils) and rule enforcers.

-Business & Structural Innovators: These innovators challenge established economic or industry rules, often creating new paradigms.

-Ascension/Reconstruction Innovators: Rather than exploiting loopholes in existing rules, these high-level innovators completely overturn the old game and establish new rules. They identify core contradictions in outdated systems and create irreversible new trends or business models, effectively becoming the "rule makers above the rules."

-Policy Entrepreneurs: These individuals actively promote new forms of legislation or government action to drive systemic change.

An innovator has an obligation to his/her vision, to be forward thinking; and convince others to take the risks that true innovation requires. An innovator has an obligation to challenge the status quo, for social, humanity and commercial betterment. An innovator has an obligation to "be a nature creative thinker." True innovations come out from within, they are not only original but self-satisfying to the initiator. An Innovator has an obligation to be open, to share and question, to challenge existing concepts, and to bring the new perspective, fresh idea or insight.

Innovation

An advanced global society has a huge potential to become a highly innovative system in which all sorts of components and ingredients are integrated into global capacity to make a significant impact.

Global societies are complex with diverse cultural heritage and growth trajectories. To provide a comprehensive understanding of global innovation, it is essential to examine it through multiple analytical lenses. The global innovation can be understood from the following key perspectives:

The National and Regional Competitiveness Perspective: Traditionally, innovation is measured and compared at the national or regional level to assess economic competitiveness. Today, global societies turn to be more hyperconnected, so the evaluation needs to be more holistic.

-Global Leaders and Poles: Innovation is highly concentrated. A "North America-Europe-Asia-Pacific" multi-polar structure dominates, with cities in these regions occupying the vast majority of top global innovation clusters. Countries in those continents consistently lead global innovation indices due to high R&D investment and robust innovation ecosystems.

-Rise of Emerging Economies: There is a significant shift in the global landscape. For example, Asian emerging economies, are rapidly building innovation capabilities and climbing global rankings, while traditional organizations face challenges in maintaining growth from already high baselines.

The Global Innovation Systems (GIS) Perspective: In today's globalized world, innovation activities are increasingly analyzed beyond national boundaries through the lens of Global Innovation Systems (GIS).

-Global Networks: This perspective emphasizes that innovation relies on global institutions, transnational partners, and a shared global knowledge base.

-Openness and Collaboration: A nation's innovation capability is no longer just about internal procedures but also its strategic ability to harness global knowledge networks for external exploration, including the absorption and agility of innovations within global value chains.

The Ecosystem and Capability Perspective: Innovation is increasingly viewed as a complex, cross-disciplinary ecosystem rather than isolated events.

-Collective Specialization: Modern innovation requires diverse knowledge capabilities. While individuals specialize in narrow fields, innovation ecosystems must be highly diversified to combine expertise and solve complex, cross-disciplinary challenges (AI requiring computer science, neuroscience, and ethics).

-Strategic Diversification: Successful innovation requires balancing the diversification of capabilities with deep cultivation in high-value areas. Ecosystems must strategically expand into new, complex sectors that align with their existing knowledge base and development level.

-Untapped Potential: Many innovation ecosystems fail to fully leverage their existing capabilities. For instance, a country strong in materials science should theoretically excel in advanced battery technology; the gap between this theoretical capability and actual performance represents untapped potential.

The Urban and Spatial Perspective: "Global Cities" serve as the critical hubs and core nodes of national and global innovation systems.

-Differentiated Models: Cities develop distinct innovation models based on their unique resource endowments.

-Sector Specialization: Urban innovation is closely tied to local economic needs, leading to specialized clusters world-widely.

The Thematic and Directional Perspective: Global innovation is heavily driven by specific macro-trends and societal needs.

-Digital Transformation: AI, cloud computing, and big data are reshaping industries, accelerating innovation cycles, and enabling intelligent automation.

-Green and Sustainable Innovation: Driven by global climate goals, there is a massive surge in R&D for renewable energy, carbon neutrality, and sustainable production methods.

-Cross-boundary and Social Innovation: Innovation is increasingly crossing traditional industry boundaries. Furthermore, there is a growing trend of socially responsible innovation, where companies develop affordable, sustainable products specifically for underserved or developing regions.

The Structural and Investment Perspective: This perspective looks at the underlying drivers and structural compositions of innovation.

-Enterprise as the Core: Enterprises are the primary drivers of R&D, focusing on market pain points and industrialization. However, there is often a structural gap in basic research, which requires long-term capital and strong academic foundations to achieve "0-to-1" breakthroughs.

-Government's Role: While large tech companies dominate headlines, governments also play a crucial role as innovation investors and enablers, particularly in building infrastructure, setting standards, and supporting early-stage research.

An advanced global society has a huge potential to become a highly innovative system in which all sorts of components and ingredients are integrated into global capacity to make a significant impact. It often takes cross functional collaboration and interdisciplinary expertise to integrate global knowledge, talent and capacity for scaling innovation effect; enhance a “diversifying ideas-clarifying concepts -unifying beliefs” cycle of global perspectives in order to solve problems at the global scope innovatively.

Understanding "Being Professional"

Business professionals need to keep sharpening their skills and improve professional capabilities to adapt to changes smoothly.

Being professional means that the individual not only has the skill but also presents high-quality professionalism. Professional development is a journey that is not a straight-line, more like a spiral up cycle that expands into the new horizon extensively, expanding capacity to solve more complex problems and integrating professional capabilities into core competency.

To articulate "being professional" accurately, we must elevate the concept beyond mere compliance with workplace rules and frame it as a profound synthesis of character, competence, and interpersonal grace. Here are a few ways to express this beautifully, depending on the nuance you wish to convey:

The Holistic & Philosophical Expression: "Being professional means embodying a quiet mastery where rigorous competence meets unwavering integrity. It is the seamless alignment of one’s mindsets, skills, ethics, and demeanor, transforming everyday responsibilities into a consistent demonstration of excellence and respect."

The Behavioral & Interpersonal Expression: "Being professional means navigating every interaction with a polished demeanor and a poised presence. It is the art of balancing confident expertise with genuine empathy, ensuring that others feel not only your capability but also your profound respect for their time and perspective."

The Aspirational & Visionary Expression: "Being professional means treating your craft as a sacred trust. It is the relentless pursuit of quality, the courage to take accountability, and the grace to elevate those around you, ultimately leaving a legacy of reliability and trust in everything you do."

"Being professional means making excellence a habit, integrity a compass, and respect a language." Key Elegant Vocabulary Used:

-Quiet mastery/Rigorous competence: Elevates "being good at your job."

-Unwavering integrity/Enhanced trust: Elevates "ethics and honesty."

-Polished demeanor/Poised presence: Elevates "good manners and dressing well."

-Seamless alignment/Relentless pursuit: Elevates "consistency and hard work."

Professionals have a set of skills to accomplish certain works and deliver high quality. Organizations across the vertical sectors are faced with rapid changes, fierce competitions and frequent disruptions, thus, business professionals need to keep sharpening their skills and improve professional capabilities to adapt to changes smoothly.

The Formula for Growth

Therefore, digital leader needs to adopt a hybrid model and take the holistic discipline with personalized styles for shaping fitting mindset, professional growth and managing everything that is necessary to get digital ready.

Change is part of reality. Organizational leaders must think strategically to figure out the customized formula for their organizational growth. Based on current business management frameworks and leadership development models, the "formula for growth" for modern business leaders is not a single mathematical equation, but rather a combination of personal evolution, team empowerment, and strategic business execution.

Here is a comprehensive breakdown of the modern business leader's growth formula across three core dimensions:

The Personal Growth Formula:

-Self-Transcendence: A true leader must first be a "lifetime learner." Personal growth can be described by the Self-Transcendence Formula:

-Self-Transcendence = (Differential Experience × Self-Dialogue × Deliberate Practice) / Arrogance

-Differential Experience: Leaders must actively step out of their comfort zones and treat unfamiliar, challenging experiences as learning opportunities.

-Self-Dialogue: This is the process of internalizing experiences into true knowledge and self-awareness.

-Deliberate Practice: Unlike ordinary repetitive practice, deliberate practice involves clear goals, focused effort, and immediate feedback to achieve the "know-do" integration.

-Arrogance (The Denominator): Arrogance is the ultimate enemy of growth. It blocks new experiences, distorts self-reflection, and rejects continuous improvement. The lower the arrogance, the higher the capacity for self-transcendence.

The Leadership Empowerment Formula: High-Energy Leadership: To drive organizational growth, leaders must master the art of empowering others. This is defined by the High-Energy Leader Formula:

-High-Energy Leader = Coaching Power × Operational Power × Team Power

-Coaching Power: Focus on solving the "people" problem. It starts with the leader's personal breakthrough, which then translates into empowering and enabling team members.

-Operational Power: Focus on solving the "tasks" problem. It involves helping the team build mental resilience to tackle high goals while optimizing workflows, methods, and processes to improve performance.

-Team Power: Focus on exponential growth. It is about shaping a shared vision and translating it into championship-level team performance.

The Business Performance Formula: Strategic Execution: For tangible business growth, modern leaders rely on data-driven strategic frameworks. The fundamental Business Growth Formula is:

-Business Growth = Traffic × Conversion Rate × Transaction Amount × Fission Rate × Repurchase Rate × Repurchase Frequency

-Traffic: Attracting potential customers through diverse channels.

-Conversion Rate: Turning prospects into buyers by building trust

Therefore, digital leader needs to adopt a hybrid model and take the holistic discipline with personalized styles for shaping fitting mindset, professional growth and managing everything that is necessary to get digital ready.

Reimagine, Reconnect, Reinvent Global Society

It uses creativity and systemic thinking to envision better futures, heal our connectivity with each other and the planet, and actively build a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient global society.

Global world is diversified and dynamic, evolving constant change and continuous improvement. The phrase "design to reimagine, reconnect, reinvent global society" serves as a powerful manifesto for a new era of human development. It suggests that design is no longer just about creating objects or aesthetics; it is a fundamental tool for societal transformation. By breaking down this concept, we can understand how design acts as a catalyst for reshaping our world:

-Design to Reimagine: Reimagining requires us to step back from the status quo and question the systems we take for granted. This involves shifting from traditional "classic design" to "new design," where the focus moves from mere manufacturing to system innovation.

-Rethinking Systems: Rather than just fixing symptoms, reimagination asks us to redesign entire systems, such as shifting from hierarchical pyramid structures to distributed, collaborative networks, or moving away from infinite economic growth toward a steady-state, circular economy.

-Speculative Thinking: It utilizes "speculative design" to ask "what if?" By envisioning alternative futures, we can challenge existing political, social, and technological norms, creating a space for public debate and social dreams.

-New Social Contracts: It requires reimagining foundational pillars like education, treating it not just as a tool for national development, but as a new social contract aimed at enhancing peace, equity, and sustainability.

Design to Reconnect: Reconnection focuses on healing the fractures between humans, technology, and the natural world.

-Human-Digital Harmony: In the age of AI and algorithms, design must reconnect people with technology in a meaningful way. This means creating interactions that are not only smart but also empathetic, fun, and emotionally supportive, ensuring technology serves human well-being rather than alienating us.

-Ecological Balance: It involves reconnecting with nature by recognizing that human prosperity is tied to ecological health. Design must integrate biodiversity, sustainable urban environments, and resource reciprocity into our cities and daily lives.

-Social Cohesion: It bridges divides by focusing on marginalized groups and fostering a "co-society." Design becomes a tool for empathy, ensuring that the benefits of innovation are inclusive and that everyone has a voice in shaping the future.

Design to Reinvent: Reinvention is the active phase of bringing new visions to life through tangible action and structural change.

-Transition Design: This involves guiding societal transitions toward sustainable futures by completely adapting to different lifestyles. For example, rather than just designing better cars, reinvention asks us to redesign urban mobility and public opinion so that driving becomes unnecessary.

-Conscious Economy: Reinventing society means shifting business models from pure profit to mission-driven, service-oriented approaches that prioritize human care and environmental responsibility.

-Empowering Action: It provides tools for "critical utopian action research," allowing individuals and communities to identify current flaws, envision a better future, and collaboratively design the steps to get there.

So design to reimagine, reconnect, and reinvent is a holistic approach to global challenges. It uses creativity and systemic thinking to envision better futures, heal our relationships with each other and the planet, and actively build a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient global society.

Overcome

I’m tearing down the ceiling, I’m breaking the chain of conventional wisdom! I’m make influences in the pouring idea-storms!

The shadows stretch across the street,

I’ve been staring at this seasonal shift.

The whispers say it's still not enough.

The road is steep, the air is rough,

I’ve worn the weight of yesterday.

Watched my brightest colors fade to gray

But in the quiet, in the cold

A different story starts to unfold.

They built a wall to keep me out

But they forgot what I’m about

I am the inspiration, I am sparking great idea,

I am the light in the dark, to brighten shadow of mind.

I can overcome, I can rise,

With the dawn breaking down the darkness.

Every step is a map,

every tear is a stream

Leading me back to the edge of the mountain top.

I can overcome, hear my voice

I am the choice, I am the harmonious force,

No mountain too high, no valley too deep

I’ve got a promise I’m gonna keep

I can overcome the obstacles of different kinds.

I’ve risen through the tide of doubt

Screamed into the wind of darkness,

but it didn’t shout back

The silence was heavy,

the night was long

But I found the rhythm inside of the wrong

I’m not the same as I was before

I’ve been disappointed, but I’m something more

A little bent, but stay resilient,

I’m pondering about those bitter experiences.

They built a wall to keep me out

But they forgot what I’m about

I am the fountain, I am the inspirational quote

I am the light in the dark

I can overcome,

I can rise

With the dawn breaking the darkness.

Every idea is a map,

every tear is a stream

Leading me back to -

the edge of the valley deep.

I can overcome,

listen to my voice

I am the flow,

I am the choice,

No mountain too high,

no valley too deep。

I’ve got a promise I’m gonna keep

I can overcome

Let the thunder roll,

let the rain pour off!

I’ve been lost,

but I can find the way back with the light of wisdom!

Not by the fear, not by the past!

This is the moment, this is the blast!

I’m tearing down the ceiling,

I’m breaking the chain of conventional wisdom!

I’m make influences in the pouring idea-storms!

Watch me now! WATCH ME NOW!

I can overcome, I can rise!

With the dawn breaking the shadow.

Problem-Solving Capabilities

Ultimately, exceptional problem-solving requires a harmonious balance of these capabilities to frame the right problems and solve them smoothly.

Nowadays problems turn to be more complex than every. Problem-solving is not a single, monolithic skill. Rather, it is a complex, multi-dimensional competency that integrates various cognitive, psychological, and behavioral capabilities. Drawing from cognitive science, psychology, and management frameworks, problem-solving capabilities can be systematically categorized into several core domains:

Cognitive & Reasoning Capabilities: These are the mental engines that drive the analytical phase of problem-solving, allowing individuals to process information and generate solutions.

-Fluid Intelligence (Gf): The capacity to reason, detect patterns, and draw inferences in novel, unfamiliar situations without relying on prior knowledge.

-Domain Knowledge (Crystallized Intelligence): Recognizing problem types and applying established frameworks, expertise, and past experiences to current challenges.

Analytical Intelligence: The ability to compare, judge, evaluate, and critically assess the quality of thoughts and potential solutions.

-Creative Intelligence: The capacity to discover, imagine, formulate hypotheses, and generate novel, out-of-the-box ideas rather than relying on conventional answers.

-Systematic & Logical Thinking: Building clear causal chains, understanding the interrelations between elements in a complex system, and avoiding logical fallacies.

-First Principles Thinking: Stripping away analogies and assumptions to reason up from the most fundamental, basic truths of a situation.

Structural & Methodological Capabilities: These capabilities involve the practical application of frameworks to break down ambiguity into manageable, solvable components.

-Problem Definition & Framing: Accurately identifying the gap between the current state and the desired goal, ensuring that the right problem is being solved rather than just treating symptoms.

-Root Cause Analysis: Using tools like the "5 Whys" or fishbone diagrams to penetrate surface-level symptoms and identify the underlying structural drivers of an issue.

-Decomposition & Prioritization: Breaking complex problems into mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive (MECE) sub-problems, and prioritizing them based on impact, cost, and risk.

-Information Gathering & Synthesis: Efficiently collecting high-quality data, filtering out noise, and integrating diverse information sources to inform decision-making.

-Decision Making & Trade-off Evaluation: Assessing multiple potential solutions against criteria such as feasibility, time, resources, and long-term value to select the optimal path.

Psychological & Mindset Capabilities: Problem-solving is heavily influenced by an individual's emotional regulation and underlying beliefs.

-Growth Mindset: Viewing problems and failures not as threats, but as valuable feedback and opportunities for learning and development.

-Ownership & Proactivity: Taking personal responsibility for outcomes and actively anticipating potential risks before they escalate into crises.

-Resilience & Tolerance for Ambiguity: Maintaining composure, patience, and persistence in the face of uncertainty, setbacks, and complex, unstructured challenges.

-Problem Awareness (Sensitivity): The innate curiosity and critical observation skills required to notice anomalies, inefficiencies, or hidden contradictions in everyday situations.38

Execution & Iterative Capabilities: A solution is only as good as its real-world implementation. These capabilities bridge the gap between theory and practice.

-Action Planning & Execution: Translating abstract solutions into concrete, time-bound, and accountable steps, and driving them forward.

-Agility & Flexibility: Adjusting strategies dynamically based on real-time feedback and changing environmental constraints.

Practical Intelligence: The "street smarts" or applied ability to actually implement, use, and apply knowledge effectively in real-world contexts.

-Feedback & Iteration (Closed-Loop Thinking): Structuring post-action reviews to validate whether the root cause was truly resolved, extracting lessons learned, and continuously refining future approaches.

Ultimately, exceptional problem-solving requires a harmonious balance of these capabilities to frame the right problems and solve them smoothly.  For instance, one might possess high analytical intelligence but lack the resilience to push through execution failures, or have a strong growth mindset but lack the systematic frameworks to define the problem accurately.  It’s important to identify a variety of constraints, build a comprehensive problem-solving framework to integrate all important components for designing and developing innovative solutions and optimizing problem-solving management.

Hard to Believe

Maybe the hardest part isn’t letting go. It’s accepting that the river’s gonna keep on flowing forward. Without the phenomenon that we used to see, it’s cautious, this roaming ocean waves.

The clock is ticking,

but the room is still

I’m starring at the window,

trying to read the atmosphere。

The silence in the hallway is louder than before

I keep on reaching out,

but I can’t find you anymore.

The coffee cup is empty,

the shadows start to stretch up.

I’m holding on to memories,

but my words can’t catch with -

the feelings I've been experienced for so long, so deep.

The gentleness of your voice,

the echo of your goodbye

I’m looking at the sky,

pondering the vast space above.

They say that time can heal,

they say that memories might fade

But every single morning feels like a choice I made

To wake up in this reality,

things won't be the same,

And nothing is quite ever, quite ever what it seems.

It’s hard to believe,

the world keeps spinning of.

When the good influence I knew has suddenly gone off.

It’s hard to believe,

the seasons change their tune

When I’m still waiting for good things happening,

as we always do.

Yeah, it’s hard to believe,

but I’m learning how to convey my feels,

With special moments inside my memory,

at which I try to grasp the essence of life lessons.

Hard to believe... but I’m still here

I found your sweater,

it still has such charm.

I traced the fraying edges,

trying to ease the sad feels.

The pictures on the mantle are watch around there,

But they don’t know the heavy way,

I’m learning how to adapt to.

I talk to the star, I am watching above the sky.

But the dawn is cold and quiet,

and the truth is hard to find.

That I’m just talking to the wind,

and you’re not in this place

Maybe the hardest part isn’t letting go

It’s accepting that the river’s gonna keep on flowing forward.

Without the phenomenon that we used to see,

It’s cautious, this roaming ocean waves.

But if I close my eyes,

I can feel the tides,

You’re not gone so far,

you’re just take some adventure, to the places,

Of the hard to believe.

Kinds of Wisdom

Across all these frameworks, a common thread emerges: while knowledge and intelligence are about acquiring and processing information, wisdom is about values, synthesis, and purpose.

Wisdom is a profound and multi-layered concept that has been explored across cognitive science, education, philosophy, and religion. Different disciplines offer distinct frameworks for understanding its levels. Here is a synthesis of the most prominent perspectives on the different levels of wisdom:

The Cognitive & Educational Perspective (Intelligence vs. Wisdom): In cognitive science and modern education, wisdom is often viewed as a higher-order cognitive system that transcends mere intelligence or "smartness."

-Knowledge/Intelligence Level: This level is characterized by tool-based rationality, standardized problem-solving, and the ability to process information or find correct answers in fixed scenarios. It is often the peak of traditional academic training.

-Wisdom Level: Wisdom operates at the highest cognitive tier, characterized by value-based rationality, system thinking, and global perspective.

While intelligence focuses on solving existing problems efficiently, wisdom involves defining the right problems, making ethical trade-offs, integrating resources, and creating long-term value. It is the ability to navigate uncertainty and complex systems with a focus on personal growth and the common good.

The Abstract Cognitive Hierarchy (The Pyramid of Thought): From a psychological and cognitive modeling perspective, human thinking evolves through distinct layers of abstraction, culminating in wisdom:

-Sensory & Symbolic Levels: Processing direct physical experiences and using language/symbols to represent objects.

-Conceptual & Relational Levels: Categorizing objects based on attributes and understanding cause-and-effect relationships.

-Abstract & Model-Building Level: Thinking about pure concepts (justice, freedom) and creating theoretical models to explain complex phenomena.

-Metacognition & Systems Thinking (The Peak): This is the highest level of cognitive abstraction, often equated with wisdom. It is the ability to think about one's own thinking (metacognition), question underlying assumptions, and understand how multiple abstract concepts interact within a massive, interconnected system.

The Philosophical Perspective: In Eastern philosophy, particularly in Mahayana Buddhism, wisdom is mapped as a rigorous spiritual progression aimed at eliminating suffering and achieving ultimate enlightenment. The philosophical Wisdoms outline this exact trajectory:

-Foundational Wisdoms: Starting with basic understanding of reality and comparing different states of existence.

-Insight Wisdoms (The Noble Truths): Deep realization of suffering, its causes, its cessation, and the path to cessation.

-Ultimate Wisdoms: Exhaustion Wisdom and Non-arising Wisdom (no further learning or realization is needed).

The Experiential & Inner Peach Perspective: Drawing from practical life experience and Eastern philosophical thought, wisdom can also be viewed as a lifelong journey of personal evolution and inner peace:

-Forming Independent Views: Breaking free from herd mentality to think critically.

-Embracing Differences: Genuinely accepting diverse perspectives and cultures without judgment.

-Leveraging Strengths: Learning from others and integrating diverse advantages.

-Creative Application: Synthesizing knowledge to innovate and solve complex problems.

-Simplifying Complexity: Seeing through noise to find the fundamental essence and first principles of any issue.

-Deriving Methods from Core Truths: Mastering the underlying structure of reality to solve problems effortlessly.

-Inner Tranquility & Acceptance: Transcending external circumstances, accepting all outcomes with equanimity, and finding profound inner peace.

The Information-Decision Framework (DIKWP):In modern information science and AI alignment, wisdom is defined within the DIKWP hierarchy:

-Data, Information, Knowledge: Processing facts, finding patterns, and understanding rules.

Wisdom: The ability to comprehensively weigh different options, balance ethical considerations, and make optimal decisions in complex, ambiguous situations based on accumulated knowledge.

-Purpose/Intent: The highest level, ensuring that wisdom is always directed toward a meaningful, value-aligned ultimate goal.

Across all these frameworks, a common thread emerges: while knowledge and intelligence are about acquiring and processing information, wisdom is about values, synthesis, and purpose. It is the ultimate integration of cognition, ethics, and experience, allowing individuals to navigate the complexities of experiences and the universe with clarity and profound insight.
