 The strategic architects see the holistic system, influence the people inside it, and translate vision into workable structure.

Business architecture is a facilitation tool to orchestrate business transformation. The "strategic" part of the planning process orchestrated via architecture is the continual attention to current changes in the organization and its external environment, as well as how this affects the future of the organization.


Strategic architects tend to combine big-picture judgment with practical execution. They are the people who can shape direction, align stakeholders, and still make the design work in the real world.

-Strategic thinking: they can analyze complexity, anticipate change, and choose the right long-term path.
