Pacific Ocean View and the Jiufen Alley in Ruifang

How can we keep reinventing the area, highlighting its charm with the great natural landscape and human-made miracles coherently to generate a unique scene with open views harmoniously?

Ruifang is a suburban area located in the eastern part of New Taipei. From online information, it was famous for its local gourmet and snack. It has a few old streets with old buildings and stores, reflecting old Taipei culture, with crowded visitors, flavored food, overloaded vehicles, etc.

What attracted me and many other tourists the best? Of course, the view of the great Pacific Ocean is surrounded by elegant mountain landscapes. Oceans, mountains, forests, and valleys nourish the beautiful ecosystem directly impacting our survival. We all should admire the influence of such mother nature.

Some traditional buildings block the way to have an open view of the landscape with mountains meeting with the Pacific Ocean, distracting tourists from appreciating the natural beauty. Instead, they step into the long long alley and feel excited to see so many eateries and gift shops that sell Taiwan-made snacks and gourmet foods. The store clerks invite tourists to taste their samples such as fried dried fruit pieces brewed drinks, fried dried fish or meat foods, etc.

Tourists walk in a crowded street, discover something they like, and taste it. I had a bowl of sticky rice balls in a small restaurant- Grandma Lai’s Rice Ball, the little colorful rice balls looked lovely and tasted fine, and their shops seemed popular with many guests.

The long alley is cursive, reaching up to the hill or stepping downstairs to the seashore. You pass a few vista points, at which you could look up mountains reaching to the further horizon; the remote architectural buildings or local temples also created scenes; look down the hills, you could view the Pacific Ocean flowing through calmly, the valleys are covered by groves or agricultural fields extensively. Some strong plants stand up to generate unique scenes. I imagine that all sorts of fresh fruits were growing in those mountains and we could get there to pick them up and taste them with freshness. I pondered whether there were different gems hidden underneath the sea, can we treasure hunt them for fun activities.

Walked in this long long alley up and down back and forth for hours, I was exhausted, and took the tour bus; to view the natural landscapes through the window, the sun started to set, adding the golden line on the mountain green and ocean blue. That was our spiritual food to connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful world. On the second day, I would visit a couple of local sceneries and discover further about the surroundings.

Jnguashi was a museum and park area that introduced the history of Taipei's gold rush era during World War II, There were restaurants and gift shops. It also has entrances to hiking trails. People come here to gain knowledge of refinery, history, tradition, etc. They also do exercise, eating, chatting, and all sorts of exercise.

When the bus kept moving up the hill, it passed a gold waterfall then passed through the nose-like mountain regions, and arrived in the ocean harbor. I walked around the palm trees, look very strong the seawater smelled salty, and people were scattered around; some went up to the mountains, and others perhaps went diving or fishing and enjoyed the sea activities.

There were beautiful natural scenes on the way but some traditional buildings on the hill became stale and even a bit fragile. How can we keep reinventing the area, highlighting its charm with the great natural landscape and human-made miracles coherently to generate a unique scene with open views harmoniously?
