We live in the hyper-connected and interdependent modern global society now, humans are part of the natural world, full of energy, variety, curiosity, potential. We have to make our world more inclusive, innovative, people-centric with a universal love theme to celebrate the holidays. We have to be determined to not get limited by conventional wisdom, but continually make transcendental progress somehow.

Human society is forced to grow out of a paradigm because of dynamic changes and frequent disruptions. Organizations today are hunting for revolutionary, path-breaking, disruptive or substantially incremental innovation. In fact, innovation is the only solution to overcome common challenges, solve existing or emerging complex problems in front of us. Collective progress demonstrates the evolution of humanity into a more unified, prosperous and peaceful society

Innovation and universal love: In essence, innovation is about generating fresh ideas, breaking down the old way, shaping fresh insight, and taking alternative approaches to solve problems. Love has a deep connection with humanity; humanity is the very purpose of innovation. However, today's still immature society has to condition people to play by the rules, not do what they were born wired to do. That stifles innovation and stagnates humanity. Innovative leaders are in strong demand as they are driven by passion and love of something: The vision? The promise? The belief, people or the ideology? True leadership's basis is freedom and liberty. 

The condition of being human is to possess and practice the noble virtues of life, be authentic to pursue your professional or personal adventure, to refine the meaning of life and learn something from it. How to apply universal love principles to improve the very condition of becoming better and creative human beings, learn to work collaboratively, connect the broader or deeper dots to generate and implement great ideas effortlessly? Innovativeness with universal love is the theme of Valentine's Day. Because it can give people a positive outlook on the world and the idea that human beings are really amazing creatures who have unbelievable potential to create, and roll their imagination into reality all the time.

Innovativeness and arguments/debates: Creativity is human nature, the evolution of innovation only exists in open environments that create fresh insights, take advantage of all sources of creativity in a more open way. In reality though, we all bring our own biases and judgment to conversations. Whether it is a debate, argument, or any types of open dialogues, critical thinking will apply as real critical thinking has creativity embedded in it. Good communication unifies; great communication inspires and spurs innovation empathetically.

It’s critical to develop a culture of creativity, orient people and make them aware of the diversity in their team or organization, and help them understand the value of harnessing the difference. Use a counter argument in open discussions to harness the spontaneity of creative interaction of the team; having a debate in which people are forced to uphold a view or belief that isn't necessarily their own, enhancing critical thinking to bring up new perspectives, becoming less prejudgmental and looking at another belief from a little less emotional perspective. Innovative leader makes sense, leading with a realistic, credible, positive, attractive and innovative vision, orchestrating open communication, directly related to defining the current and future challenges and knowing what you are looking for; helps to build the culture of openness and innovation.

Innovation & Information Technology: Organizations today rely more and more on information technology, which is the most time-intensive piece for solving innovation puzzles. IT needs will only expand to fuel innovation and creative business opportunities. Not only should IT play an active role in designing, developing and producing innovative products or services, but also it can help to foster a creative environment, so the great ideas can flow and be commercialized in a more open ecosystem. The science of innovation is to manage innovation cycles and execute in a systematic manner that provides sustained competitive advantage. An IT empowered open business system is value added to create a dynamic, expansive, and interdependent methodological environment with a set of multifaceted practices to drive change and catalyze innovation.

There is more flow of creative ideas, the more is happening, the pie gets bigger. Information Technology is the integral glue of innovation solutions; data assets can be applied in new and different ways to generate massive business value. Those who overlook information technology as an innovation driver should be blamed for lack of vision when you consider the robust new technology prospects and pervasive influence. The highly innovative organizations depend more heavily on its technological knowledge and market capabilities to develop and commercialize innovation for building a real time innovative society.

Innovation is not for its own sake, it’s about change, love, progression. People need to be the center of outcome-driven innovation management and they are the major focus for innovation processes and accomplishment. It’s important to architect, reimagine, and co-develop an innovative society via an interdisciplinary lens and hold on to a strong belief that collective progress leads to societal advancement. Collectively, we can keep innovating to achieve ‘the art of possible” through universal love.
