Creativity, Biology, and Ecology

In the digital ecosystem, there is the interplay of dynamic and structure, the full range of idea spectrum, as well as respective "cognitive" processes and layers.

Creativity is all about connecting the dots. It’s an inner process to create novel ideas. What are the evolutionary roots of creativity? Creativity may start with the biological basis of creativity (nature); then the development or suppression of those characteristics during maturation (nurture); and then, the biological and social support of those traits (nutrition). Creativity is simply about connecting the dots. In the hyperconnected digital ecosystem, there are wider dots to connect for sparking creativity within the broader scope.

The ecology of mind: The brain is an apparatus, a tool is wired for collective sensation and awareness. The mind is something more personal. It is a label that individuals create for that collective sensation or awareness that is on their own. Creative thinking is a higher level of thinking because it often imposes a higher cognitive load as you think 'harder' and consciously uses different kinds of thought actions and thinking tools such as association, perspective shifting, or opposites reasoning, etc. Creativity has two parts: The spark of inspiration (1st thought) which plants a new concept in our heads, then the building of a structure of associations and relationships between that "seed" concept, and the many concepts already stored in our brains. The associations and relationships are what turn the spark into an expressible idea. Creativity is largely an associative process based on knowledge and experience, from which creative concepts can emerge. Thus, a “biologist mind” that can dig deeper into such living organisms (organizations), and the context of their environment (hyperconnected business ecosystem) will have an advantage point in sparking creativity. What now has to be understood are the complex dynamics of the ecosystem within which the change is unavoidably entangled - dynamics driven more by horizontal linkages than by vertical (sovereign) accountabilities sparking creativity and fostering innovativeness.

The biological aspect of creativity: Creativity is an innate process to generate novel ideas. Knowing who you are and how you react and respond to different situations can help you understand and improve the cognitive, relational and assertive actions you take on a day to day basis and spend more time on creative activities. Either being unconscious, subconscious, conscious, or one can elevate oneself to a ‘superconscious’ state of mind which will be able to think not only of what exists (subconscious), how they exist in this world, being in the world (conscious), but also how could one possibly apply self in this world to change and innovate. Everything is energy and the human condition is the conditional form of our energy signature and it moves from one conditional state to another, such transcendent energy catalyzes creativity. A creative mind desperately needs to absorb the new knowledge across the disciplinary boundary in order to ponder the creation of the new insight which feeds into the consciousness. Creativity is born from such conscious awareness and its complexity is given by the level of consciousness that is reached.

The cultural evolution perspective of creativity: Whether we like it or not, as long as humans are unique, their mindsets, opinions, cultures, lives, and views, etc, are equally unique and diversified. Creativity today asks for a new mindset, a connected world image, global consciousness, and cognitive intelligence, etc. From a business innovation perspective, the theme of the teams is the theme of organizational evolution. Without innovation, without collective evolutionary human progress. A truly innovative "story of the future" can literally catalyze a culture which is the collective minds and habits. Creative leaders will build up a working environment to nurture creativity, enable dot-connecting activities such as cross-functional communication & collaboration, as well as encourage the freedom of thinking and actions. Creative culture is usually outward-looking rather than insular, people are more willing to accept a degree of risks and experimentation, etc, as failure is part of innovation. A culture of innovation isn't built in a day; it is an evolutionary journey and takes innovative leadership and long-term strategy.

The classic metaphor about creativity is the light bulb; when the switch is on, the novel idea is created to brighten the environment. In the digital ecosystem, there is the interplay of dynamic and structure, the full range of idea spectrum, as well as respective "cognitive" processes and layers. The deep problem that reveals is to understand what are the evolutionary pathways implied by switches we don't understand or understand the potential of. In the meantime, our species is at a turning point that requires a significant adjustment in our evolutionary path of making continuous innovation and progress.

After such articles I am more and more sure that people should pay more attention to the development of biology and biotechnology. In the developed countries of Europe, there is a lot of example where companies are created that are engaged in the production of high-quality equipment. I like that the products manufactured by the company Berthold. They combine creativity, qualified approach to work and high professionalism.

Thanks for sharing, nice post! Post really provice useful information!
