Innovativeleadership

Leadership is about future and direction; values and beliefs, discovery and dedication.

Leadership is complex, although it has many facets, the ultimate criterion of "high-influential leadership," is the ability to create more leaders, to spread leadership influence.

Effective leadership is the good combination of substances plus styles. The substance of leadership never changes, but it has to shift the styles to adapt to the increasing pace of changes, it takes hard work and endurance to improve leadership maturity.

Strategic leadership: Being strategic is about keeping the end in mind. Being strategic is also an action, not a state of being. Adopt the attitudes and styles of strategic leadership (transformational way), being confident to create and manage changes at the business scope:  Nowadays, Strategic thinkers are interdisciplinary influencers because thinking and logical reasoning are not based on linear understanding, it needs to work cross-disciplinarily for getting the big picture and setting directions to drive progressive & transformative changes.

A strategic leader examines predictability, the extent to which the future of the environment can be forecast, which depends on the degree of complexity and dynamic change. A strategic leader will break down old leadership boxes and shape leadership influence based on insight & foresight. Culture is the invisible factor that impacts strategy implementation effectiveness. Leaders create culture and culture dictates success or failure because of leadership skills. One cannot train or embed leadership skills for lower level managers without the total support of the top executive. A strategic leader makes positive influence based on clarified vision, multifaceted value and strong character, as executing a good strategy takes value-based principles, well-defined guidelines, and well-planned practices.

Laissez faire leadership:
High mature organizations encourage self-management. Offer little or no guidance to group members and leave the decision-making up to group members. it could be effective only at a very high mature organization with self-managing teams. Autonomy matters. “Self" is that level of existence which is the genuine substance of who we are. If we can live authentically, in a way that is true to ourselves, this in itself is creative. Self-management is not practiced on others, but on self: The high degree of the team’s or the organizational self-management capability reflects its maturity to be disciplined to do the work well in a dynamic and highly innovative environment

While laissez faire leadership style can be effective in situations where group members are highly qualified in an area of expertise,. The willingness to go full steam, straight against the tide, always requires a strong inner belief that something better will emerge, hence, the revolution. Also, self-leadership proceeds leading others. To know oneself is necessary to understand the filters and the bias. It’s important to look inward. All real change takes courage, as the old guard will always fight for the "Status Quo." Individually, self-management is about knowing and comprehending how you can manage emotions and behaviors and as an individual recognize what is best to think and do, in relation to the betterment of his/her own life, including effective communications, cross boundary collaboration and step-wise actions.

Coaching leadership
: Coaching leadership guides the team to understand the purpose of engaging in people development. A good leader welcomes new potential leaders, encouraging and bringing out the potential of leading the others. It is developing the employees, in terms of making them real performers. The coach/mentor can show the team how to explore their own natural skill sets, talents, and strong sides, taking into account their own objectives in line with working needs. The appropriate level of directive or supportive leadership is being provided as a team/individual increases their knowledge/skill of a task, dynamically adjusted through circumstances change.

The Coach: Listens, Asks, Prevents, Explores, Seeks commitment, Challenges, Works with, Puts process first, Seeks results, Takes responsibility, Keep track. The coach leads by asking: "How would you like to do it?", "Are there any other ways of doing it" ?"Which is best?” If they are willing to spend the time and energy in self-development. Spending the time to guide people towards connecting the dots of “why and how” instead of only being focused on “what and when” will have lasting effects. Also, continue to update her/his own knowledge, coach and learn at the same time.

Leadership is about future and direction; values and beliefs, discovery and dedication. Leadership is once aligned with and often still is sought for the leader to have power. Leadership is an influence, which can be made through leaders’ cognitive intelligence, unique competency, multiple personas, and personalized leadership styles and practices.
