It is important to create conditions so that the ideas can flow and creative potential can manifest. Ideologically, influential organizations have a multitude of characteristics such as open leadership, the startup’s culture, the institute’s learning agility, and the abundance of knowledge and expertise.

Expert power can make influence more profound. Business professionals with solid interdisciplinary expertise have the ability to review the past and perceive the future as knowledge permits, and have the ability to identify key leverage points in which the non-proportional influence can be made. They can initiate cross-boundary communication to amplify influence, and set the right priority to handle tough situations smoothly.

Influence via negotiating and exchanging, to get others’ see your point of view, make tradeoffs or compromise: People argue to open a new perspective; understand the other point of view and learn something from it; make influence via exchanging ideas, negotiating better deals and harmonizing differences. People apply critical thinking to “debate”; make judgment from a non-biased perspective; make influence on discovering truth from myth.

People do a significant amount of “negotiation” to make agreements and keep things moving forward via influencing others to see their viewpoint and making tradeoffs or compromise effectively. Great influences are open minded to make proposed connections of single arguments into a larger picture where they can perceive more professional value to orchestrate another negotiation, and make higher influence; to reach their professional maturity.

Influencers define the true purpose as a helpful instrument to make influences consistently; they need influencing tools to amplify influence impact effectively. The deeper you can think, the broader you can influence.
