Innovation

Innovation becomes simply “creating value by solving simple or complex problems” alternatively.

Innovativeness is a state of mind, followed by intellectually curious attitude, bold experimenting and actions.

Innovation is all about how to disrupt the outdated thinking and the old way to do things from a new angle, and it’s a unique capability to gain a competitive advantage. It can be enhanced by connecting dots wildly; and it manifests in a collective environment.

Innovation & participation: Creativity is often inspirational from within, but brainstorming and participation matter, you need to be motivated to convey ideas and transform thoughts to actions for making goals achievable. The result was usually not something that any individual participant could have conceived independently. Employee engagement in the innovation process increases participation and streamlines creativity flow. Whether the group of people has an amplified creative ability depends on varying factors such as different intent, different talent traits, different working styles, different outcomes.

Communication and participation are important to spark creativity and nurture a culture of innovation. Usually, innovation is a team work. Participation offers a foundation to build ideas upon. There is the creative logic to develop fresh ideas and implement them smoothly. Once people agree with the “WHY” part of the reasoning, they can develop their own level or means of participating, expanding the efficiency of the concept itself, thereby, re-injecting further excitement in their being part of it.

Innovation & Philosophical perspective: Philosophy is methodical and has deliberate processes for identifying questions, and thinking outside the box. Philosophy is abstract, but it could provoke the chain of thoughts to stimulate fresh ideas, spur innovation. Philosophy has the influence of generating “big ideas” or looking deeper into breakthrough innovation. Applying a philosophical lens to understand the world and identify opportunities to initiate breakthrough innovation accelerate transcendent progress because philosophy focuses more on solving more fundamental problems facing humanity on the journey of pursuing wisdom and discovering truth.

Philosophers want to see complexity explained away in terms of a few simple principles, abstract thoughts to gain common understanding. Philosophical guidelines can improve the innovation success rate by questioning, reasoning, seeing things holistically, and understanding the world profoundly. Highly innovative companies develop innovation philosophy and make it the part of the organizational culture for inspiring creativity, and managing a healthy innovation portfolio with the right combination of incremental and breakthrough innovation.

Innovation & persuasion: Persuasion is a professional quality to sell either vision or new ideas. To manipulate is to cause someone to make a decision with force. Persuasion is the process of applying knowledge to effect a change in somebody else's mind. The deep ecology recognizes the intrinsic value of all living beings and views humans as one particular strand in the abundance of the global world.

To build a competitive team, harness innovation, it's always important to lubricate relationships and enforce collaboration. Persuasiveness is so interrelated with influence, and influence can harness communication, catalyzing innovation, to awaken possibility in people to produce extraordinary results. In order to be persuasive, you need to have vision, knowledge, insight, and wisdom to spur creativity and make a profound influence on innovation.

There is a rapid shift in the paradigm. The importance of innovation has increased as the business has the pressure to get more and better innovation. We are more innovative than ever. Innovation is about the future, without it, you lose sight of tomorrow. Innovation becomes simply “creating value by solving simple or complex problems” alternatively.
