The organization needs to be orchestrated through strong business logic for anyone with ideas on how human organizations ought to be contrived in the face of challenges.

Alignment logic is to visualize the enterprise, aligning solutions with clarified vision: Organizations are hyper connected and interdependent; there are different levels of alignment. By clarifying logic, the alignment process can become a smooth and harmonized process, approaching a flow zone in which people are ready for moving to a fluid working environment with blurred boundaries. Business executives are eager to set stages for business management by staking a step-wise approach at the steadfast paces.

Organizational alignment is multifaceted. Business capability - strategy alignment is more about how the business develops and aligns its capabilities to enable effective management disciplines. IT-business alignment addresses both how IT is aligned with the business and how business could be aligned with emerging information technology, to ensure that business strategies implementation are on the right track for achieving high-performance business results. Business-customer alignment is about how to align resources, talents to produce products or services for fitting customers’ needs & wants. People alignment is to put the right talent into the right position for solving the right problems timely.

Refine the logic to balance multi-facet of facts and criteria, set priorities, to achieve a situational compromise or trade-off: There are many things happening in the organization today; organizational management needs to do logical reasoning, make necessary tradeoffs from diverse perspectives of stakeholders and focus on the top strategic priorities at the moment. Business leaders are able to shape a longer view which is essential to recognize patterns, clarify logics, and understand impacts of business solutions that can be sustained in the systems of people.

Logic is nonlinear to operate a successful business in face of “VUCA” reality; leverage advanced analysis tools to do a comparative assessment of many decision criteria - both quantitative and subjective, concurrent across many options, initiatives, etc. It takes a logical approach to consider the trade-offs between operational excellence and innovation exploration;, quality and efficiency; process and flexibility; logical refinement helps to shape a “balanced” view of tradeoff variables, achieve a situational balanced compromise, set metrics to evaluate and understand results logically.

Nonlinear logic is intended to assert business structure, to influence the behavior of the business:
Imagine the digital dynamic that comes in due to very characteristics, such as less or hybrid structure, complicated rules and regulations, diversification, ambiguity, unpredictability, nonlinearity, increased flux. It’s not so effective to use linear logic to understand highly complex, nonlinear cause-effect relationships and interdependent business functions and structures. Nonlinear logic enables us to uncover patterns and understand the interconnectivity underneath the surface, recognize patterns in collective mindsets and actions behind complexity.

Business boundaries are not "sharp" lines; they are fluid to adapt to the tides of changes and waves of disruptions. Understand how the structure manifests as the function or behavior of interest. Nonlinear logic helps us know deep enough about the interdependent components, provide fresh insight into collective thoughts & behaviors, and gain an accurate understanding of the emergent business properties, the overall situation. The goal is to make hierarchical organization systems agiler so that they can respond to the challenges of a more complex, interconnected world fluently.
