The digital leaders and professionals today need to be in a continuous learning mode, develop strong logic skills, to infer and defer, preliminarily understand the extent of any problems or conditions, grasp truths, facts, meanings, or relationships in order to handle varying complex issues effectively.
Retrosynthesis is a type of business logic for decision-making, innovation, problem-solving or capability tuning and management: Organizational leaders and professionals need to handle complex reality on a daily basis. Many of today’s problems are complex, logic is to make an appropriate order - arrange, rearrange, or shuffle up, to solve problems in the right sequence and achieve better than expected consequences. Technically, during the retrospective decision-making or problem-solving scenario, it’s important to gain in-depth understanding of issues, observe deeper, create hypotheses, do deep logical analysis for approving or disapproving those hypotheses smoothly, working it forward and then backward to make sure there are no errors or gaps.
Organizations need to apply learning logic to gain fresh knowledge and capture business insight to unleash the full business potential: There is a distinction between employee learning and organizational learning. Each person has a different level of knowledge, with their own learning and decision logic to deal with environmental changes. Employee learning does not translate automatically into organizational systems learning. But one employee who learns can indeed influence the organization if the processes and structures are established for that learning to be assimilated into the organization. Either individually or collectively, strong learning logic helps to build the bridge to connect lesson-learned from the past to the future performance effectively.
Implicit logic based on pattern language allows people to bring aliveness within a particular set of human endeavor: We live in a diverse world, with a variety of global knowledge, culture heritages, enrichment of religious beliefs, etc. There are visible and invisible things coexisting in the world. Implicit logic based on tacit knowledge helps to understand a specific group of people’s common senses, social behaviors, and cultural background anthropologically. There are patterns hidden in many meaningful things. Implicit logic enables people to see things underneath, perceive the invisible behind the visible, catch “implicit” knowledge, to dig into the root cause of issues in order to deal with issues thoughtfully and solve problems smoothly.
