To awaken innovation in the well-established organization, business leaders and professionals should think as an intrapreneur and act as a startup manager.
Digital is the age of innovation. And innovation is what leads to differentiation. There are many ways to differentiate and, therefore, there are many ways to pursue innovation.
The purpose of the book “Unpuzzling Innovation - Mastering Innovation Management in a Structural Way" is to demystify innovation puzzles in a structural way.
Innovation
Innovation v Innovation is about moving forward. In any business, if you are not moving forward, you are moving backward. Organizations need to get deeply immersed in designing, developing, and delivering innovative solutions to make their customers happier and people smarter, give people an impression on how organizations can meet their needs to solve problems and achieve higher-than-expected results consistently.Innovation iv Today innovation can happen anywhere and anytime. It expands both horizontally and vertically. It’s the state of mind to think and do things from a new angle. Nowadays innovation requires iterative and integrative approaches; there are creative people who can think differently; there are robust processes and tools that enable organizations to generate winning concepts for innovation management on a consistent basis and improve innovation excellence.
Innovation iii Innovation has a broader spectrum with hybrid nature; it is hard to think of any innovation as not a hybrid, a combination of something old with something new or a number of new things. In organizations which are huge and complex, innovation management is not a standardized process, but a dynamic continuum; outlines, optimization, orchestration are all crucial to scale up innovation effect and improve innovation success rate.
Innovation ii Organizations are different; they have different cultures; they have different structures; they compete in different markets - they have a different scale. In short, every organization is at a different level of business maturity. It has its own struggles and conflicts. What’s “best” yesterday will not always be the best tomorrow. Forward-looking organizations have visionary leadership, highly trustful, collaborative workforce, culture of innovation, optimized business processes, technologies, and capabilities to improve innovation competency.
Innovation All humans are naturally creative. Today, innovation can happen anywhere, anytime; it expands both horizontally and vertically. An organization of today needs to be organized in such a way that it is a part of the modern world; it cannot be organized using the outdated, mechanistic paradigm that resulted in bureaucracies.
The “Future of CIO” Blog has reached 10 million page views with about 10700+ blog postings in 59+ different categories of leadership, management, strategy, digitalization, change/talent, etc. The content richness is not for its own sake, but to convey the vision and share the wisdom. Blogging is not about writing, but about thinking; it’s not just about WHAT to say, but about WHY to say, and HOW to say it. It reflects the color and shade of your thought patterns, and it indicates the peaks and curves of your thinking waves. Unlike pure entertainment, quality and professional content takes time for digesting, contemplation and engaging, and therefore, it takes time to attract the "hungry minds" and the "deep souls." It’s the journey to amplify your voice, deepen your digital footprints, and match your way to human progression.
