Analytics helps them break things down to figure out cause-effect; systems thinking allows them to see interconnectivity between parts and the whole. Perhaps there is a point of convergence in which analysis and systems thinking begin to lean on each other to understand complex situations, and deal with problems or concerns effectively.

More companies across sectors have to deal with continuous disruptions and claim they are running the information management business. Data analysis is both art and science, gaining systems wisdom is a journey that takes a step-wise approach. The convergent analytics intends to solve such puzzles: Where is the information we have lost in data? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Data analysis is neither equal to the fancy new technologies nor a huge database, it is a full step-by-step process pipeline. Convergence of “hard science'' & “soft science”: Digital management is an interdisciplinary approach with hard science disciplines such as engineering and math, well blending with soft science such as psychology or sociology to decode the value of business and shape a high performance organization. Science is the discipline to progression, allowing us to see further, deeper, and cross disciplinarily for making meaningful movement, enabling us to bake special formulas to solve problems large or small.

Decision-making is the discipline of both the "soft" art and "hard" science; gut feeling and data-driven. It takes both multi-disciplinary knowledge (hard) and light bulb type intuition (soft) to make effective decisions consistently. Convergence of structural and unstructured processes: Business systems always have a certain structured way of working (processes) in order to survive. Process management is about managing order from chaos. If you don't have structure effectively, you have chaos. Chaos can only allow survival for a short time before things break down. Processes underpin business capability and build organizational capacity. Business process management directly impacts organizational effectiveness and efficiency. People move processes. corporate processes are social, therefore to some extent; all corporate processes are unstructured and unpredictable as they always have unstructured content - human tasks, discussions, assignments etc. However, they should have structured content to keep business efficient; "unstructured processes" spur innovation and optimization.
