There is purpose behind societal advancement; there’re goals which need to be achieved through advancing thinking and actions.

Modern society is a dynamic continuum with collective human progress. Real societal advancement is made through the work of forwarding-looking minds, renewing creative energy, updating knowledge, exploring growth opportunities, and driving progressive changes.

Change is the “now,” transformation is a journey and needs a larger strategic investment. It requires step-function changes in tools, culture, leadership, process, or the overall integral management competency.

Select potentials, reform them, then go by multiplicators to scale up: We are at the intersection of knowledge and creative economy; human society is at a turning point that requires a significant adjustment in our evolutionary path rooted at the mindset level. Thus, potentiality is an investment. High potentials have demonstrated consistent strategic insight or technical abilities to make a big impact. Enforcing workforce deployment and development makes sense to convey the vision of running a high-innovative organization or society which needs to keep investing, nurturing, and growing their people and optimize workforce to meet the needs of rapid growth and relentless innovation.

In many circumstances, individuals or organizations with potential haven't performed to the level of desired performance. The organization needs to be realigned to ensure the people are in the right positions to solve the right problems. So on the evolutionary path of building differentiated competencies, the strategic planning of the potentiality portfolio provides a holistic view of multifaceted organizational system potential.

Upon increasing paces of changes, prioritization is about managing constraints: In order to shape an advanced society, senior executives need to clarify their vision, the current and future mission, the path, plan, strategy, program or project on how to get there. Prioritization is about clarifying: "Is this the best use of our resources now?” When a new initiative comes up, the senior stakeholders must be able to rate its importance. The reality is that there are a lot of things that can go wrong and it is not always easy to identify what is important.

You can't do everything; so which business initiatives will you do? Prioritization brings transparency, creates internal competition among new business initiatives, explores emerging opportunities and accelerates business performance. There needs to be a well-defined portfolio prioritization and governance process with business partners if it’s critical to the organizational transformation success. Prioritization is part of governance discipline. It makes sense to have governance processes that are more information-based, lightweight, continuous, and that focus more on results and adapt to changes rather than static plans; moving from current to future situation and mission; realize the value/benefit of "walking the talk" for executing changes.

Hyperdiversity and interdependence are the very characteristics of the digital era: How should employees ever trust and have confidence in the digital journey? In such a global climate, those businesses that are unwilling to genuinely embrace diversity cannot unleash collective potential. Even though people have different intentions, talents, personalities, they must walk together as a team, group, or company in order to create the desired successes and benefits. Empathetic communication, personality traits, working styles, and effective inclusion efforts can bridge leadership and innovation gaps, and build a complementary team to achieve high performance results consistently.

Inclusion = Engagement, Retention, Loyalty, and Productivity. Leaders should always look for the capabilities and skills that they don't have so that they can build a winning team, complement each other’s mindset and skillset; tap their diverse resources, and be inclusive and recognize merit and ideas. Leaders should focus on cognitive differences, skills, abilities and the wealth of ideas since the value lies in the contributions of the individual to the organization. Effective communication is important, as different perspectives, fresh points of views lead to well-rounded ideas and solutions.

Personalized intelligence:
In face of fierce competitions and rapidly changing marketing conditions, businesses with a variety of personalized intelligence can become more interconnected and interdependent with its macro-environment by engaging in conversation with varying stakeholders. Personalized intelligence has become a powerful tool for creating an intimate and stronger relationship with a wider range of customers. Exert lots of intelligence, through data-based insight, the businesses know what they are giving the customer is both what they really want and what they are willing to pay for. Everything from how pricing is affecting close times and support calls to referral business activity triggered by high customer satisfaction, etc.

Today’s digital business environment is dynamic, complex, and uncertain. There are always different complexities at a different time or dimensions. Business intelligence is a process that provides the necessary tools to build a “SMART” organization. Allow consolidation and segregation of data almost at will to provide deeper understanding of business context; practice personalized intelligence to harness business innovation and branding. Information analysis enables business management to improve customer relationships, optimize customer experience, increase business profitability, agility and people-centricity.

A sustainable society will only come about through the accumulated actions of billions of individuals: When we look at the hyper rising costs of energy in recent years, efficiency has been a key internal driver for sustainable practices and is the low hanging fruit when moving beyond compliance and obligation. Either at the organizational or a societal scope, waste of resources is costly. Reuse and reduction of waste reduces cost and creates new revenue streams to impact both bottom-line and top-line organizational growth.

Organizational leadership sets sustainability as a high priority, embed real, measurable, ongoing commitments to go beyond the immediate benefits of compliance, obligations, and efficiency. Sustainability needs to be integrated into existing key process & performance management systems. Business units need to be engaged with implementing sustainability initiatives. The organizations need to build the right capabilities and skills to enhance sustainability and improve business maturity.

The inevitable range, breadth, depth, and pace of uncontrollable factors acting on any organizations across vertical sectors mean constantly fine-tuning is essential to improve the organizational or societal maturity. There is purpose behind societal advancement; there’re goals which need to be achieved through advancing thinking and actions. Top leaders need to be sensitive to emergent trends, pay dynamic attention to the opportunities and risks on the way, steer the organization in the right direction, and make a leap of collective human progress.
