Innovation

Innovation is a persistent pursuit and meaningful dot-connection.

Innovation is a state of mind that focuses on crafting creative ideas and spurring innovation. In any business, if you are not moving forward, you are moving backward. To inspire innovation, you need to understand how people encounter, observe, or undergo their stage of experience, and then, come up with innovative ideas.

Being innovative is an ability to identify patterns, make unusual connections, with capacity to adapt, present emotional intelligence to decide, and demonstrate a risk-taking attitude to innovate all the time.

Innovation & Recursion: Creativity is about figuring out alternative ways to do things. For those who are trying to solve problems, it is important to apply creativity in a recursive way for both problem identification and problem-solving. Cognitively, creativity has been called out of box thinking as it is an iterative process of reasoning, comparison, contrasting, and dots connecting.

For those who are trying to solve problems, they may find the problems evolving as they try different solutions. Being innovative is about reaching an interdisciplinary stage at which innovators can mix imagination and knowledge/skills or integrate different pieces of knowledge/skills seamlessly, focusing on three "I" factors - Interaction, Iteration, innovation for problem-solving.

Innovation & lucidity:
Creative thinking plays an instrumental role in developing a greater understanding of self, others, and the world, or in short, profundity. Being innovative is about how to solve a problem in an intelligent manner. The gap between knowledge and insight is about the depth of understanding. Creative problem-solvers enjoy lucid understanding and guiding people through it via framing open, thought-provoking questions with emphasis on doing-pre-work, in order to attract a multi-dimensional viewpoint and systematic solutions.

Lucid understanding leads to insight; it is the understanding of a specific cause and effect in a specific context, and the root cause of a problem, or the core issues of a situation which leads to innovative solutions. One of the tests for lucid understanding of solutions is about how impactful the problem it helps to solve, as well as how it makes any difference to dimensions that are valued by people.

Innovation & charisma: Creativity is an innate thought process to generate novel ideas. It is the aura and charisma combined with the words to convey the thought. If the thoughts are backed by conviction, passion, and wisdom, then such energies would find a way to generate ideas and create new concepts. Charisma is like the magnet of personality, simply a flash from one’s mind to build confidence, enhance uniqueness and nurture creativity.

In nature, everything is connected with something else. Creativity needs vision to inspire and imagination to spark. Charisma isn't devoid of substance; it is intra-ward, diplomatic, it comes from vision, not just fashion; charisma accompanies with purpose, not pure acting; purpose leads to discovery; discovery stimulates innovation. Charisma with creative communication style can make the conversation more captivated, such as stories and anecdotes; contrasts; rhetorical questions or analogizing description, etc, which further spur fresh ideas and inspire creativity.

Innovation is a persistent pursuit and meaningful dot-connection. To be creative, you have to continue discovering new patterns. It requires you to keep your eyes open, keep your mind out of the box in order to actively seek out new meaning or fresh ideas wherever you could discover them, and capture profound insight into complex problems in order to solve them in a creative way.
