Critical Thinking deepens our true understanding of the issues, and enforces our cognitive intelligence without thinking too much or thinking too little.

Critical thinking is to apply the objective analysis for making sound judgments by taking complex mental activities to process, evaluate information for reaching certain conclusions. From a problem solving perspective, Critical Thinking encompasses all aspects of one's cognitive styles and skills for exploring a problem from multiple perspectives, at the deeper level. 

Statistically, there are only a very small fraction of true critical thinkers who can always dig through the root causes of problems. Still, critical thinking is a cognitive ability that can be developed via continuous practices.

Critical Thinking is contextual, both reality-oriented and evidence-oriented: People lacking real critical thinking usually never question what is exactly the problem because it's the way things should be. Critical Thinking is the rational analysis and evaluation of the issues in order to make a fair judgment. It involves induction and deduction, processing information in an analytical and sequential way. 

Misjudgment or misunderstanding happens when uncritical thinking patterns such as reflexive thinking, irrational or unstructured thinking, group thinking are detected. Critical thinking domain provides a useful methodology to filter information and build your own knowledge base to make sound judgment consistently.

Strategic thinking is a part of the critical thinking process: The problem is that many business people are practical, pragmatic, process-driven or short-term results-focused, but they have difficulty in understanding abstract discussions or strategic perspectives. When you apply strategic thinking, you begin looking at “WHYs,” benchmarks that can be set for the improvement activities of the future.

Strategic thinking as a part of Critical Thinking is the process of analyzing and making judgments about what has happened and doing predictive analysis on what will happen, and build consensus about what you are going to do about it. Critical thinking, interdisciplinary knowledge and transdisciplinary insight would help to gain insight and work hard to craft a good strategy.

Critical thinking has creativity embedded in it to uncover patterns; creativity requires critical analysis to connect meaningful dots: Creativity is the one which deals with any sort of idea necessary to solve a situation which definitely requires a critical analysis skill to connect meaningful dots for spurring fresh ideas. So to an extent, both of them share a kind of symbiotic relationship. Creativity is stifled by business reality if you aren't using logic and critical thinking to solve problems alternatively.

We all bring our own biases and judgment to arguments, critical thinking can be a way to explore a non-biased perspective and deep understanding of certain subjects. Critical thinking evolves a deep thinking process usually with creative thinking embedded, to uncover patterns and capture fresh insight. In fact, creative thinking and critical thinking are both types of “out of the box” thinking to challenge conventional wisdom and bring up the new perspective for framing and solving problems in better ways.
