Unveallcreanalytics

People who are good at both creativity and analytics can understand the world holistically and solve problems innovatively.

Creativity is an innate process to generate novel ideas; analytics is to leverage data for making better decisions. Creativity and analytics seem to be opposite on the surface, but to dig deeper, being creative does not necessarily mean you lack analytics skill. In fact, a creative person is good at uncovering patterns via creative logic, and business professionals cannot be good at being analytical without creativity.

Analytics helps us become information savvy; creativity lets us stand out with unique competency: One cannot keep flexing their creative muscle without continuously learning new knowledge, analyzing and reasoning. Creative people consciously apply different kinds of thought processes involving both analytics and synthesis to come up with fresh ideas. Analytical people need to apply quality information to understand issues thoroughly. They can leverage critical thinking and creative thinking to uncover patterns and improve decisions effectively.

Both analytics and creativity have multifaceted thought processes: Having accepted the variations in analytics, analytical thinkers solve problems day in and day out. They need to imagine those problems in their context, apply multidimensional thinking processes to imagine what can be done with the data, and let possible solutions emerge. There is logic hidden in creativity, creative people apply multifaceted thought processes to connect, contrast, create fresh ideas and shape new concepts or knowledge.

The “creatlytics' ' mindsets are important to understand, frame, and solve today’s multilayer, interdependent, over-complex business problem: It is the hybrid business world full of options. We must acknowledge that both analytics and creativity are crucial with many facets. Anyone can be trained to express some level of creativity since problem solving skills are a basic element of the human toolkit. Everyone could be creative in a certain moment; same as analytics, it’s not the case that only artists create new or only IT geeks' know how to do analytics, the secret source is to mix both ingredients (creativity and analytics) accordingly.

Data analytics is a multifaceted discipline that helps businesses abstract business insight systematically; sufficient, interdisciplinary information/knowledge is fundamental to spark creativity and gain insight. People who are good at both can understand the world holistically and solve problems innovatively.
