Inspire Creativity via Multidimensional Thought Processes

How creativity as an innate process to generate ideas and manifest itself in each of us is unique, and then such interlinks often fuel new thoughts, perspectives, creativity, and imagination to spark the abundance of creativity.

Creativity is a complex, multidimensional thought process, it is infused with an inner cohesiveness and comes from a vision of uniqueness. Creativity is the "soaring factor." We all should broaden our points of interest and try new things to extend our thinking box and inspire creativity via multidimensional thought processes.

Push creativity to very high levels via Systems Thinking lens: Creativity is about connecting the dots, and Systems Thinking is about discovering the patterns underlying these dots. Systems Thinking stimulates creativity because it allows you to identify interconnectivity, understand the flow, discover patterns and embrace uncertainty. In practice, Systems Thinking does produce some boundaries, but the goal of Systems Thinking is not for restricting innovation. In fact, when used properly, it can enhance creativity to a great extent and push it to very high levels.

Once you have a comprehensive vision of the system and its characteristics and dynamics, creativity is essential to propose changes, improvements, or disruptions, etc. In today’s digital dynamic, look at people and people's activities, come to think of some possession or experiences which will make them related, amplify collective creativity and spark innovation, and transform novel ideas to achieve their commercial values.

Link the future and discover novelty from the strategic lens: Strategic thinking is specified as being conceptual, systems-oriented, and directional, encourages us to think about the future by exploring the “why” factor, discovering novelty, and rewriting the rules of the competitive game. It’s about linking the future with the past by being open to discover interconnectivity between people, ideas, experiences, or relationships, etc, diagnose the root causes of problems and solve them in alternative ways.

Strategic practitioners can think multidimensionally and leverage different lenses to see things differently, create or grasp new opportunities and strike the delicate balance in the dynamic business ecosystem. They can think further, bigger, and broader, invent the “future” and make literally or figuratively something new from those insights. They are always curious and keep learning to update knowledge, capture emerging trends and essential technologies, and connect wider dots to stimulate creativity.

Nurture great ideas via divergent thinking: Divergent thinking is a thought process with mental techniques to generate creative ideas, gain new perspectives to understand things and explore different solutions to the problem. To practice divergent thinking and spark great ideas, it's best to bring a group of people together with cognitive differences such as different backgrounds, experiences, capabilities, or strengths, etc, together to inspire “diversity of thoughts” and nurture creativity.

Highly creative people can leverage multidimensional thought processes such as emergent, divergent, convergent, and generative, etc, to bridge the gap between vision and reality and create energy for fusing creativity. It’s also important to use different tools and follow a well-defined process in which divergent or convergent thinking is always present to transform a novel idea to achieve the business value.

Creativity is a high level of intelligence because it evolves multidimensional thought processes such as systems thinking, strategic thinking, divergent thinking, and many other thought processes which are all interlinked attributes in varying degrees depending on our mental models, perspectives, or distinctions, etc. But how creativity as an innate process to generate ideas and manifest itself in each of us is unique, and then such interlinks often fuel new thoughts, perspectives, creativity, and imagination to spark the abundance of creativity.
