Innerphilosophyconnecitivity

By abstraction, philosophy helps to unify, harmonize, guide transformative change and move up the human society up to the next level of maturity.

We are living in an economic system that was created a few centuries ago, and various societies built their own social infrastructure many decades ago. Philosophy is a broader discipline in pursuit of an in-depth understanding of the hyper-connected and interdependent world, abstracting collective thinking & practices, focusing on “why,” rather than “how”; unifying “hard” and “soft” science, questioning human nature and societal potential, to analyze issues, or ideally, dissolve many tough problems facing humanity to improve people-centricity and societal maturity.

Philosophy and anthropology: Philosophy is important to better understand human society evolution and harness the power to fulfill human purposes. Anthropology is critical to perceive the multilayer of human society and help us look at things from multiplicity in order to discover the real problems, find patterns, understand interconnectivity between diverse entities, enhance the way to experience life with curiosity, knowledge, and patience. Philosophy is broader, abstract human knowledge into deep wisdom; anthropology is people oriented, analyzing human activities and behaviors. Applying philosophy-based management discipline allows us to see the cause and effect of problems thoroughly; leveraging anthropological lenses enable us to focus on the ultimate goal of problem-solving - to build a purposeful organization or society with people as the center and crucial part of solution.

Running a borderless and advanced modern society does mean less restrictive rules or bureaucracy; it also means that the guiding philosophy and principles become more crucial to be defined as decision and behavior guidelines to drive change and catalyze innovation. We can always listen and deepen understanding by imagining what it could feel like, and acknowledging the variety of experience, especially when it is much different than our own. Thinking through anthropological dimensions questions one’s assumptions, which tend to oversimplify about other cultures and individuals, past and present; Thinking through philosophical dimensions allow people to apply paradoxical thinking to abstract and balance of flow and solid, brightness and darkness, positive and negative; so they can get the true understanding of the complexity of issues, discover the truth from myth, solve problem more effortlessly.

Philosophy and architecture:
Philosophy involves examining basic concepts such as truth, existence, reality, causality, and freedom in human society. Enterprise-architecture is an expression of a philosophy whose concrete product is artifacts. Philosophy is the mother of science; architecture is a cross knowledge domain platform and discipline; think of it as blueprint, as literature, or as a language to understand and articulate organizational context, facilitate communication, encompass strategy or enhance governance. Philosophical questioning raises big why concerns about humanity; architectural inquiries dig into why about crucial problems that were happening.

From a management perspective, the underlying philosophy includes choices on management themes, and governance in relation to vision, mission, principles, standards etc. The architecture embraces the enterprise ecological adaptation school of thinking, engaging varying stakeholders in understanding issues from different angles and shaping a big picture for strategic problem-solving. There is far more philosophical scope in the architectural component; the "schools of thought" in architecture are an ongoing and emergent process. Philosophy as the abstract wisdom helps to set guidelines for business change; evolutionary architecture helps to navigate the business transformation journey of its organization stepwisely.

Philosophy and ecology: Companies operate within ecosystems to deliver value to their customers. The digital organization is a dynamic ecological system with business attributes such as responsiveness, engagement, adaptability, flexibility, innovativeness, self-renewal, and resilience, etc. For many organizations, ecosystems have evolved without much attention or planning. Philosophy is the compass behind evolutionary change and sets the principles for developing a balanced ecosystem environment. Ecology provides professional knowledge to plan and shape a healthy ecosystem environment in which varying entities can enhance growth or balance cycles autonomously.

Philosophy is an ongoing inquiry into the nature of things based on abstract reasoning. Ecology helps to deepen understanding of ecosystem dynamics, combining different ecological knowledge systems to aid in interpreting and responding to ecosystem feedback, improving ecosystem fluidity and maturity. By taking a philosophical lens, people can gain insight about themselves, their organizations, as well as the ecosystem they live in for advancing human society; by applying ecological disciplines, people can proactively reinvent or improve the better environment for living, working and achieving.

From one generation to the next generation, people make changes deliberately or abruptly. By taking a philosophical lens, people can discover who they are and why they are doing certain things; the most successful organizations have a very clear vision and understanding of why they exist, the value they bring to customers and the very reason for changes. Science always needs philosophy; art can express philosophy to certain degree; by abstraction, philosophy helps to unify, harmonize, guide transformative change and move up the human society up to the next level of maturity,
