Initiatives

The difficult challenge of business initiative management is not just launching a successful team, but maintaining their motivation and focus, aligning resources and talent seamlessly to improve business agility.

Organizations have a variety of stakeholders, behind many critical business initiatives, there are numerous points-of-view; focusing only on short-term results can lead to negative values that may outweigh competency in the long-term. So they need to strike the right balance of short term profitability and long term prosperity.

The transition from a small initiative to demonstrate value to a completely integrated solution to achieve people-centricity is a journey that continues as the organization's leadership needs continue to evolve, proactively planning, and skillfully implementing.

if strategic business initiatives are implemented successfully, there is a significant impact on building differentiated business advantages: Senior leaders need to be fluent in multidimensional thinking and must participate in creating and shaping a company's vision, aligning proposed business initiatives with organizational vision and strategic goals, provide the description and articulate the reason for starting an initiative in a structural way.

Look for creative, cost-effective opportunities to develop cross-functional teams for solving problems alternatively. For strategic initiatives, have an advisory committee review policy, process, and communication within the organization to ensure solutions are designed to not only solve certain problems, but also bring up additional value and shape innovative cultures. Making a financial summary for return on investment timelines, tells management how well the business initiatives repay the company.

A solid business case can also become a base to develop a business process management initiative: Managing a process requires constant attention to throughput: What is the current process state? What are the concerns with the current state (costs, inefficiencies, top line impacts etc. What is the proposed process state? What is the cost, time, and other resources needed to get to the proposed state. Especially for the complex business process improvement effort, an understandable roadmap results in more systematic planning and implementation. Such activities will induce a critical/questioning attitude towards the processes and can be the foundation for continuous improvement.

Traditional business process improvement might be too inward-looking. Innovation & technology breakthroughs are the clear differentiators in the business process improvement world. Outside-in customer-centric business process improvement can fit better for business purposes in a competitive business environment. Analyze the financial impact of the proposed state (in terms of ROI or the expense ratio). as the next challenging step.

It’s important to take initiatives to produce customized solutions: The customer, including prospects, should be studied and observed and gain insight upon. Forethoughtful companies perceive problems from the outside-in customers’ perspective. Application initiatives are not just about software development or IT practices, it needs to become customer-centric. In today's world, if you can think that such initiatives are about producing customized solutions for producing a technical solution to a business problem on how to delight the customer, then you have achieved a great paradigm shift.

The customer, including prospects, should be studied and gain insight upon. Using a more inductive approach as to what the customer wants to accomplish "next" by making logical inquiries. Customer Experience is the sum of all thoughts, attitudes. experiences, feelings, reactions, etc, anthropologically. Customer Journey is a representation of the touch points a customer engages with a corporate brand.

In order to manage business initiatives successfully, assess well-defined goals; quality information and logical scenarios are needed to achieve high performance results. The difficult challenge of business initiative management is not just launching a successful team, but maintaining their motivation and focus, aligning resources and talent seamlessly to improve business agility.
