Being able to engage in the successful innovative endeavors is a very hard work and does include a lot of thinking, observation, brainstorming inquiries, and unusual connections.

It can be more effective in executing innovative ideas by relying less on silo functions, more on cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement, take alternative ways to solve problems; delight customers; and run an innovative organization.

Innovation has many dimensions, with multi-faceted truth, and manifold knowledge:
Innovation can be large and disruptive, or incremental so long as it creates tangible value that didn't exist before. To achieve innovation excellence, innovation is an art to design intuitive products/services; innovation is also a scientific process with strong logic to improve its success rate. Innovation is not just a mere cumulation of creative inputs of those involved; a corporation needs the processes and culture to sustain cross-boundary engagement for not only generating fresh ideas but also implementing them smoothly.

Innovation is not serendipity, there is hidden logic underneath. There is always a noble goal behind innovation, identifying shared goals is a crucial collaboration success factor. You have to have the right logic to see which innovative solution works best to solve problems. Creative intelligence can be developed via learning, questioning, experimenting, interacting. To become more innovative, well trained business professionals or leaders today need to retool their mindset and think in a more logical way in order to solve problems innovatively.

Innovation is a type of creative disruption, essentially to make leap of societal progress: Breakthrough implies a distinction in innovative solutions at any type of innovation. Highly innovative organizations embed innovation into every aspect of their organization and adopt spiral approaches. It takes an interdisciplinary effort which would apply nonlinear thinking to provide better opportunities for leading breakthrough innovation than linear thinking.
