Isn't a tough journey to- celebrate #10,200 blog postings - to pursue- the digital way of brainstorming, innovating, motivating, story-telling?

The world has become much more complex and smaller all at once due to blurred territories, enriched knowledge, culture, intriguing relationships. In order to unify and advance human society, leadership needs to present the virtue of benevolence, value of innovation, and versatility of professional competency. 

There is no single initiative, program or the "theme for the year" that will suffice to improve leadership development effectively. We are in a period of uncertainty & ambiguity, it is about the time to define new processes, the new capabilities, and the new effective leadership. We need to take a continuous journey of leadership renewal and maturity. Isn't a tough journey to- celebrate #10,200 blog postings - to pursue- the digital way of brainstorming, innovating, motivating, story-telling?

Leadership & Respect: Respect is based on being trustworthy, authentic, and accountable. Sound judgment and decision maturity gain respect. When a leader or a professional consistently makes effective decisions, and is perceived to be fair over the longer term, she or he earns the respect. People respect those who can bring fair value, share fresh insight; take more responsibilities, and solve large scale problems which make a significant impact. People respect those who have courage to do things the majority of people can't, either break the old or overcome the bias, etc. Leaders who earn respect are able to set a clarified vision, deepen mutual understanding, inspire benevolence, encourage authenticity and innovation, and build trust for the long term..

Leadership & Nature:
Leadership is both natural and nurtured; leadership authenticity is based on their natural talent and uplift spirit. Nature leaders create synergy via empathy and wisdom. The innate talent is natural, but the leadership quality is nurtured. The qualification of leadership can only be achieved via the combination of character, knowledge, learning agility, professional/ life experiences, and recombinant professional capabilities. Not only do you need to have hard capabilities and soft qualities, but also you should build a full set of coherent leadership core competencies.

Leadership & Insight: It takes insight to pull the world together, and it takes vision to push the world forward. Insightful leadership is like a valley, with the depth of their view, the objectivity of their perception; profundity of their understanding. It is not the acquisition of knowledge that will make the leader, but the desire to apply it and transform into fresh insight and ultimate wisdom that will make the leader. Insightful leadership should be built on the foundation of the moral competencies –benevolence, wisdom, justice, courage, and temperance, etc, in order to build strong influential competency.

Leadership is about developing people, not managing them. Leadership development starts from the mindset level, following with a set of exemplary behavior. Not being afraid to fail is a liberating experience for innovative leaders. Although leadership has many facets, at its core, the foundation of leadership is based on authenticity and vision. Great leaders think logically, act professionally, solve problems innovatively. in all aspects of their role and beyond.
