Part of the challenge to overcome negative patterns of problem-solving comes down to self-awareness and professional maturity.

Everything, whether tangible or intangible, in the manifested universe, has two poles – the positive and the negative. The difference between positive and negative is perception and choice. We have that choice each day to wake up to be positive or negative.

Negative emotions make people painful, suffering, negative feedback without good intention causes mistrust, conflict; negative ways to solve problems create more problems, make the situations worse, cause more unnecessary pains and decrease the speed of progression.

Negative emotion: Humans are not perfect; emotions work for you, might hurt you as well. There are negative emotions that cause more issues; Your envy degrades integrity or professionalism; your overdosed ego hides your authenticity; your fear drains energy and thwarts creativity.

When you become self-aware, when you know the triggers to the emotions, it is very important to own up to your faults. In fact, you need to observe emotions as a true force, help to move with energy in the direction of your purpose. Let positive emotions flow, but consciously manage negative emotions and improve emotional intelligence.

Negative feedback: People need good feedback to make constant improvement. Whether the feedback is good or bad depends on how sensitively the negative feedback is delivered and the mindset of the people giving or receiving them. The quality of feedback giver is crucial to the quality of feedback being given. If there is a lack of good intention, negative feedback perhaps causes more conflicts or mistrust, creating a negative mentality.

Different cultures have different approaches to feedback, always understand the context besides content, and always capture insight and wisdom from that knowledge. When facing difficulty, a growth mind is able to accept negative feedback with good intention, be more resilient, stay focused, failover and fail forward, and drive human world progress proactively.

Negative patterns of problem-solving:
You can blame, complain, point fingers, wait for a leader to fix the problems; or you can dig into root causes, and try to fix it proactively. The negative reactions to the problems come from a state of distrust, disengagement, and disempowerment. Fixing symptoms only, silo mentality, mediocrity, bureaucratic management style, etc, perhaps all contribute to negative ways of problem-solving. It often brings a negative attitude, sometimes competing via unprofessionalism or lower team morality. People feel they can only be the solution when in fact they are actually the problem in some situations.

Avoiding this pattern begins with a belief and understanding behaviors have ripple effects and that we all tend to be drawn into situations that force us to learn and grow. Part of the challenge to overcome negative patterns of problem-solving comes down to self-awareness and professional maturity. When facing difficulty, good problem-solvers are able to handle adverse circumstances, be more resilient, stay focused, overcome negative patterns, and fix root causes radically.

When people decide together to change something they don't look first for the negatives, they see the positives - the goals, the benefits, the vision. discourage mediocrity which is often the root cause of negative vibes in the workplace. Overcoming negativity is about people willing to give discretionary effort, and are always looking for ways to improve individual and team performance, to make continuous progress.
