Initiativesofinnovationnavigation

Insightful leaders today should be able to navigate through the future of the society by sharing a clear vision, providing the right directions and amplifying leadership influence constantly.

The new year is already here, but it has not fully unfolded yet. Great leaders can bridge old and new; today and tomorrow via their clear vision, fresh insight, interdisciplinary understanding and integral competency.

The new year time is the fresh beginning to reimagine the future and make a difference. It’s important to know when to look back and when to look forward. Being conscious, becoming self-aware, is a choice we actively make at each moment. It takes practice to become conscientious in our journey of the new year, keep learning agile, overcome challenges, uncertainty, to make influence constantly.

Looking at the past too long or too much inhibits looking forward and making progress: The New Year Day is the bridge to look back in order to move forward smoothly. Without taking a breath to look back, we cannot learn precious lessons holistically. But looking forward is imperative at the beginning of the new year to face the challenges, uncertainty on the way, prepare for the future and the upcoming journey insightfully.

In practice, looking forward is not always so easy, the positive and forward-looking view is more about thinking ahead, to determine what the future needs to look like, what the business transformation must look like, how to overcome the roadblocks, close the blind spots, and deal with change inertia in order to move forward smoothly.

Navigate through uncertainty or ambiguity via envisioning and planning: The digital landscape has many dimensions, technologically, ecologically, philosophically. You have to look into an unknown future and attempt to define the landscape with its opportunities and risks. Even though you couldn’t predict anything beforehand, you can always imagine different scenarios with varying experiences involved in the current or in the past. It’s always crucial to develop a set of best and next practices to overcome obstacles and lead desired changes in a dynamic business environment effectively.

Vision is a future state of being, making you feel passionate about what is going to happen - the opportunities, and taking the precaution of the risks; dynamic planning should embrace uncertainty, know which factors contribute to uncertainty and how to handle it to adapt to the business dynamic effectively. Good vision plus a proactive planning should motivate us to "reach just beyond our grasp" continually in the pursuit of longer-term goals to be realized through achievement of nearer-term objectives smoothly.

Navigate through the digital dynamic, discover the unique path for radical change and breakthrough innovation:
It is nevertheless true that the change itself has become unpredictable and evolutionary. There are many things, both hard and soft, that need to be changed. There are diverse drivers behind changes. Change is never for its own sake, but to solve problems or make progress.

In reality; there is often no shortcut for change, but there are varying paths to changes. Navigate unknown, navigate through uncharted water. You have to look into an unknown future and attempt to define the landscape with its risks and opportunities. Navigate from pattern to pattern to learn about a problem space and to apply different solutions in combination, take advantage of shape, or mitigate what is then occurring, with the goal to orchestrate transformative changes smoothly.

New Year's Day is the time to make the best wish for reinventing a better society. There are a variety of human societies, but it is still a long way to go for shaping a harmonized global world. Human society is pushed forward via advanced minds which convey clear vision and advocate collective progress. Insightful leaders today should be able to navigate through the future of the society by sharing a clear vision, providing the right directions and amplifying leadership influence constantly.
