The art of question is thought-provoking, creative, much more about open communications. The leader simply coaches the team along the way, including asking more questions as necessary.

Our world is full of uncertainty, change, and complexity; the art of questioning is to discover truth, spark imagination, and provoke comprehensive answers; the science of questioning is to clarify logic, dig into root causes, and figure out better solutions. Asking good questions demonstrates intellectual curiosity, to understand the point of view of the other side, gain objective observation of circumstances, and frame a common-agreeable approach.

The interdisciplinary inquiries enable business leaders and professionals to see things holistically, accumulate enriched knowledge, and gain fresh insight to see things differently, inspire innovative problem-solving.

Inquiries about history deepens understanding of human society from different perspectives: The contemporary society is the product of the past. History provides us lessons learned, enabling us to understand humanity profoundly. People repeat history, not the other way around... and that is why we need to learn about our history as a species. Many versions of history can all be simultaneously "true" or “false.” Thus, it’s always critical to make deep inquiries about the cause-effect of past events, previous or existing philosophies, historical figures, refresh knowledge, do analysis and synthesis holistically for leading the society forward smoothly.

In order to understand history deeply, you need to know the facts and more importantly, the underlying patterns. Independent thinking and critical thinking are crucial to learn history, without setting a limit to one version of truth. Ask good questions, listen to the different voices and gain a variety of perspectives before rushing up to make any conclusions. Either the straight "WHAT" question to put the emphasis on important events or the logical "HOW" question to reach important details, good inquiries open people’s mind, transform hindsight to insight and foresight to guide through the future journey more knowledgeably.

Inquiries from a biological lens broaden our vision to develop organic creativity and grow our societies to the next level of maturity:
Understanding people or society from a biological perspective enables business leaders or professionals to ask profound questions, dig deeper into the context of their environment, and encourage healthy competition for spurring innovation. The biological perspective on humanity broadens our vision to grow our societies as organic living things. It enforces people-centricity, encourages growth, harmonizes the balance cycle, and moves up the human world to the next level of maturity.

A creative mind desperately needs to absorb fresh knowledge across the disciplinary boundary, develop abilities to imagine, inquire, create, and ponder the creation of new insight. The open-minded “Why not" or “How about” questions provoke creative answers, unlock imagination. Creativity development may start with the biological basis of nature; then the development or suppression of different characteristics during the stage of maturation; provide the biological and social support of those traits for developing creative intelligence.

Psychological inquiries provide an angle to explore the inner world of humanity, improve healthiness of well beings:
People are emotional creatures with a blend of positive and negative mentality. Analyze people’s mindset; predicting and shaping human behavior is hard, but it could be invaluable to drive smooth change individually or collectively. When people want to change their old habit, reinvent themselves to reach the next level of professional maturity, psychological inquiries helps to understand them cognitively, physiologically, or holistically about who they are, and who they want to be, unlock human potential scientifically,

People like to change, but do not want to be changed and there is a difference. In the organizational setting, understanding people via a psychological lens helps the management dig into the collective mindset to understand problems, awaken possibilities in people to produce extraordinary results, and rejuvenate progressive changes. It’s the time for changes when you see the negative emotions-objections, negativity or resistance. By making good inquiries for understanding the proving psychological concepts and practicing them, business leaders can instill positive psychology in their workforce, build a culture of learning and lead well-planned changes to achieve high performance results.

The art of question is thought-provoking, creative, much more about open communications. The leader simply coaches the team along the way, including asking more questions as necessary. We all desire to seek and participate in conversations, it's part of human nature, and the whole world can engage in a big conversation to change for the better society through an interactive questioning-answering, listening-telling; learning-doing-improving cycle constantly.
