Implementation

From a business management perspective, capability-based implementation has a higher success rate to meet business expectations.

Increasing pace of changes, the overwhelming growth of information, fierce business competitions, and frequent disruptions create characteristics of the business ecosystem such as uncertainty, complexity, unpredictability, and ambiguity.

The assessment of the best alternative in corporate strategy implementation depends on the nature, culture, and strengths of the organization. Every process in planning and implementation; every expenditure of time, budget , or energy, and every assignment of resources, talent, should reinforce an iterative implementation continuum.

Organizations are better suited to the dynamic implementation cycle: In today's dynamic business circumstances, there's nothing to be done about an uncontrollable situation, accept vulnerability, but do your best to manage uncertainty. The evidence points to strategic planning emerging rather than being prescribed. The most common approach is (Situation-Target- Proposal-Implementation). There is also the (See-Think-Plan -Execution) approach. Good business transformation is goal-directed, purposeful, and intelligent, and all intelligent activities are planned to reach well-set goals step-wisely.

It is important to get you off the ground and running, also ensure that there is sufficient time to prepare the stakeholders for the changes on the way. You need strategic thinking to understand the context in which it operates. Consider the external environment (social, political, economic, technological, industry, market, stakeholders, etc.); the internal environment (resources, capabilities, systems, structure, culture, stakeholders, etc.). Growing your business such as changing your business model, creating new markets, and new products are the essence of business development.

Implementation management is fundamentally an iterative cycle to design, build, scale, and optimize business capability to achieve the desired effect under specified performance standards: Business capability encapsulates people, process, information technology, knowledge, varying tangible and intangible resources to improve business performance. It's an imperative for organizations to keep integrating existing building blocks or recombine existing capabilities into more complex capabilities for implementation. Know what you are able to accomplish and what it will take to expand the differentiated capabilities for enabling the business transformation.

The business capabilities today are the result of its history and this history constrains what capabilities the firm can perform in the future. Look at dynamic capability from a different perspective, apply a capability map to identify patterns, components, and enforce digital management disciplines for expediting the capability delivery cycle. It is important to have a good understanding of current and future capabilities, their impact on implementing strategic business goals; identify the key business capability and make an objective assessment of capability maturity. Strong strategy implementation is a dynamic business continuum.

Implementation is based on information, innovation, intelligence, and improvement for producing solid business results continuously: For any company to succeed, it is essential for the entire company to be pulling in the right direction. Today’s business leaders and professionals need to be open-minded, resourceful, and learning-agile, harness communication, and build trustful relationships to overcome common challenges. Business executives would “scrutinize” implementable scenarios, processes, talent, the metrics from different angles, their intention is to ensure the healthy status of the business initiative portfolio and overall implementation success rate. The employee ownership drives a more fluid process than before to keep learning, growing and maturing. The managers should help employees discover ways to link their activities or long term career goals to strategic goals of their organization. By doing that, every individual should be able to see what they do can make a difference to the company.

Organizations nowadays have become so complex, Forward-thinking organizations cannot think in terms of single-thread serial actions alone. Information and knowledge have to be facilitated and managed systematically to do planning; examine sensitivity analysis results to understand customers’ need, collect invaluable feedback and make timely adjustments for enhancing a dynamic planning-implementation continuum, and improve organizational agility and performance.

Every business is different, they are at a different stage of its organizational maturity cycle, they have their own unique strengths to delight customers and gain market shares. Organizations today need nothing less than a paradigm shift in their thinking about the fundamentals of how organizations work, as well as how to leverage information, evolve rapid changes. From a business management perspective, capability-based implementation has a higher success rate to meet business expectations. High performance workforce can make the workplace more creative and productive, and drive business success in the long-term.
