It’s important to gain insight into the condition or dependency of capabilities to improve business coherence and focus on building long-term business competency. You need to not only refine information, assimilate the existing knowledge, but also have to keep updating knowledge, generate new knowledge and become the knowledge value creator to benefit your organization.

The digital shift is a mindset shift, which comes with information shift, a shift in which organizations will take advantage of information to gain knowledge and insight. The effectiveness of information management directly impacts on business performance. The key point is to make sure the “system-of-interest” is defined to establish the flexible business boundary and the properties that interact with the environment dynamically, and ensure the information system is purposeful and functional to improve business agility.

Companies need to have an in-depth understanding of the gains and pains of organizational design and development: Organization structure and its impact on agility and efficiency could play either positive or negative impact on business effectiveness, agility, and culture proposition. Organizational design needs to be understood holistically and applies “simplicity” principles to reconfigure its own structure and change its own behavior during the execution of its adaptation to environmental changes.
