Initiativesofarchitecture

Business Architecture is a great tool for business management to streamline knowledge management, enforce cross-disciplinary business communications, foster ecosystem collaboration and build core competency.

The logic of Business Architecture is to build an organization in times of change with increasing paces.

Business architecture becomes a lens through which the management can understand multifaceted business relationships, optimize organizational functions and structures, clarify nonlinear business logic, harness transformative changes through the right balance of generalization, specialization, and classification.

Business architecture is a logical communication tool to improve greater transparency, trust, and collaboration: Organizations become more hyperconnected. It’s important to manage the boundary between the organization and the external world. Consistent, clear communication between all stakeholders is the key to harmonize business relationships and improve management effectiveness. Business architecture is a strategic communication tool to look at the transition and state transformation of the enterprise, ensure all related parties are on the same page, enabling cross functional collaboration, and master expectation management.

Great communication is to bridge the difference, respecting your audience's cognitive diversity or personal preference. Business architecture is an important tool to facilitate cross-functional communication, embrace diverse viewpoints, neutralize polarization, and foster cross-boundary collaboration.

Business architecture is a logical navigation tool to explore macro-environment critical success factors and business activities to deal with ”VUCA” reality: An effective architecture helps the management clarify the vision, the guidelines, find out which business factors have the most impact in a particular business domain and addresses the scalability cohesively. Use architecture as a body of knowledge and experience in gaining a contextual understanding of the business ecosystem, classifying the crucial elements and knowing their linkage, in order to navigate changes systematically.

Business architecture helps to sustain a balance of diversified viewpoints, science and art, analysis and synthesis, customization and unification; individualism and teamwork, and riding the tide of digital transformation. It is a great tool for corporate leaders to gain a systematic understanding of interrelationships, ecosystems, market dynamics, improve organizational effectiveness and scalability, orchestrate business transformation.

Business architecture as a logical capability instrument tool produces a list of remediation work that needs completing structurally:
Analogically, business architecture is like a compass tool for the organization to explore new business models and make wise investments based on the breadth of the vision and the depth of understanding, and bring up business value continuously. It’s about how to develop dynamic organizational capability by enhancing strategy and process-capability linkages. Architecture is used as a collaboration instrument to business capability development with reliance on technology advancment, investment calculation, etc.

The architectural oversight of capability development should deepen understanding of the interdependence of capabilities and what level of transitions are required in future based on business strategic priorities; create a decent business capability map to identify patterns, analyze capability gaps in the context of future need. It allows budget, resources, and talent aligned with the business strategies/objectives scientifically.

As the world becomes hyperconnected, interdependent, and dynamic, the industrial silo and old boundary has been broken down. It’s no surprise that we will leverage a cross-disciplinary approach to solve complex problems and overcome common change challenges. Business Architecture is a great tool for business management to streamline knowledge management, enforce cross-disciplinary business communications, foster ecosystem collaboration and build core competency.
